What Students Say?
Likes
- Very qualified faculty and they do give a lot of opportunities
Dislikes
- they are not very structured management wise
Course Curriculum Overview
i liked the honours option , I would prefer practical tests for practical papers such as coding instead of keeping writting papers, Also keep internship on the final year instead of capstone projects .
Internships Opportunities
initially during our second year we weren't given any good internship opportunities but the stipend was around 3000-4000 but during our third year many professors as well as the college gave us many internship opportunities very few companies gave a stipend but they were good learning experiences
Placement Experience
From what we've seen placements aren't that great , you need to be in the absolute top to get into a good company a senior got into deloitte a few of my batch mates for in EY but for very less many have considered applying on their own we have gotten a few decent placement. The average package is around 4 i would say we had around 6 companies come i think and very few students applied or got in .We were eligible for for placements in our 5th semester
Fees and Financial Aid
i am paying 1.6 lakhs per year i think it has increased for the next batches 6 thousand is the exam fees you need to pay 500 for re examination and in case of attendance shortage or internal shortage you need to attend summer semester and pay 2000 per credit
Campus Life
we don't have any annual functions other than sports day id say , there are many clubs and they all do everything debate clubs, anime clubs, finance clubs etc , we just got an upgrade on our library , We've got very good technology and many mac labs too and of course new and updated books and easy access to journals, all classrooms are equipped with smartboards which makes it easy for presentations
Admission
The honours option was really attractive to me . The RV brand was also one of the main reasons I chose to go to RV University. The admission process was fairly simple wrote and online exam and I got in without giving the interview I think it was because there were less people applying that time I was the second batch to join i also applied to Christ and SJCc but i messed up the christ interview and failed the SJCC one Jain was my back up which I got i to
Faculty
Many of the newer faculty is very easy to approach. Prof Gopinathan is extremely friendly and approachable Many of the faculty allow students to jole around with them but they do keep distance from us
Night Life
There isn't much of a nightlife unless you make the right kind of friends the main hangout spot of our college is opposite our college where we have bakeries and the main roll shop we all love the canteen food is decent wouldn't say great but it's decent teh gym isn't really worth it and the public are is all pretty good to hang out with friends . lots of places to ait and hangout
Other Applied Colleges
