Course Curriculum Overview

4

I have a very keen interest in political science so I opted for the course and sociology as i never studied wanted to give it a try which was a good decision. My curriculum prepared me for real - world applications and for further academic pursuits. There are few teachers who are newbie with few years of teaching so I think that should be changed for students betterment . In political science it became hard to pass the paper by the end of my final year but eventually i passed.

Internships Opportunities

4

There are many companies but as I never applied for internship program I have no idea about it . When you enroll yourself for the internship they will let you know if you have passed the interview and is ready for next stage.

Fees and Financial Aid

It was a three year course and each year we as a BA student of political science and sociology were paying approximately 40k. This was the final fee yearly including all the tution, caution, registration, admission, development, lab and other compulsory charges. There were scholarships available for students based on merit and financial background but I'm not sure about the amount.

Campus Life

4

There are 2 fests that are held in our university, one is Pratibha and another Visages . One during summer time and another in fall. We have a good library, all the books are available there in a wide range. Sports are also held there as a important subject. Social groups, clubs do impact the students life there.

Admission

I never applied for any other colleges as I was more interested in ST. Joseph's University more . And even after getting admission there i never regretted as I got a great circle of friends and my course teachers were so good.

Faculty

3

Faculty is nice but there are few whom I personally didn't like . There were few who never taught in the class as they were interested. They only taught for exam sake and not for some extra knowledge. Exams are not very tough but ig you are a weak student in your own subject then it's difficult to pass otherwise everyone pass their exams .

Night Life

4

We do have gym but for university sports teams. Cafeteria also we have more than 2 and our university door closes by 6 in the evening. We also have hostel but for boys. Shantinagar is very safe and student friendly area, one can roam there at midnight also but not alone with friends ofcourse.

Course Curriculum Overview:

- curriculum specially for BA is not like how you see in other universities it's a comprehensive curriculum where your also studying subject like AI learning, data analysis, regional languages and so much more it is a comprehensive course which is not only focusing on your major but also on an overall development of you as a student.. - well we are not only getting in-class lectures but we also have a internal component of internship every year which helps us get an experience of real world situations and job market. -There is one course called numbers we have that could be improved it basically talks about mathematical in economic applications numerical implications particularly which has not been given more thought on it could be more elaborated and structured well. - frequency is high and difficulty is moderate usually.

Placement Experience:

Placements are good. Students arw given chances to take exams and get job opportunities from there. Field trips and internships, orientations, talk shows are organized to prepare students further before stepping out for jobs. They can either take the placements they get or opt for higher studies, which is what i am doing as a degree in psychology alone does not grant a wide scope in the jobs spectrum.

Remarks:

I liked the course provided by this college. The subjects are different for every semester and the aura is splendid. This college provides a very good faculty which not only is good at keeping up with academics, but also is great in keeping a good rapport with their students. There is a whole variety of extra curricular activities which brings out the core personality of every student. I for a fact, had stage fear. But after I chose MIC, I really started getting over it.
