Course Curriculum Overview

I want to give civil services examination that's why I started studying this course anthropology and psychology as a minor subject because I want to keep psychology as a plan b. I want to pursue clinical psychology

Class Size: 13Course Fees: INR 16500 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

The overall payment that requires for msc integrated anthropology is 16,500. Per year. And 850 for applying in final exams. The faculties are all good and experienced, many kinds of scholarships are available here.

Campus Life

Lots and lots of festivals are organised in the university. Starting from freshman social of each and every department to conducting youth festivals where many colleges of our state come here to compete

Admission

Gauhati University holds so much prestige on its own. The first university to be established in North east india. The environment here is very good and peaceful. You also call this place as mayanagar. Also known as land of mayas(distractions)

Faculty

The faculty is quite amazing in all the departments. I like every faculty in this university. Everyone treats you like their own child if you know how to behave. The anthropology's faculty is really amazing

Interview Experience

No interview happened admission happened only based on merit and later spot admission was conducted for students who couldn't get admission on merit. Spot admission has been going on since a long time now

Night Life

Hostel campus is amazing. Many good things are there to be learned in the hostel as well as the bad. It's upto you how you manage the hostel life. The cafeteria's are good and hygienic. Famous hangout place is meghali

Likes

Good and calm environment which makes it better to study. Friendly faculty
The curriculum is helpful for other competitive exams like UGC NET
Many of the students of Assam University are working in various respectable fields now. Faculty top notch.

Dislikes

The classrooms could have been more spacious
Digital classrooms and wifi connection should be improved
Canteen should be better and spacious. Food quality should be improved

As we know Literature is a mirror of the society . I have always wanted to be a English literature student as it helps to deal with real life problems. We start feeling things in a deep and well manner. According to me , others factors are well n good.

Faculty members are very helpful. They provide you with needful things.
During my PG dissertation course my mentor helped me a lot. While completing my thesis.

Dislikes

They were quite very serious about the attendance. They were not negligible towards it.
As like other departments there were favouritism which was not performed by every teacher but some among them.
Faculty was serious about cheating and does take hard steps.

Course Curriculum Overview:

They were efficient for our future. The course included creative writing, Aranslation studies, American studies, Feminist texts, British literature, Indian literature, Post colonialism and others. They helped in development of language and skills.

Placement Experience:

Placement at the university is conducted at the end semester. Different companies from a different places always show up. The smart and best students get a good placement from big companies and more the 80 percent get placement with a good amount of salary.

A honest Review

Placement Experience:

Here placement is only for Masters students and the placement starts from the final semester, bachelor students do have placement but it comes in the form of fellowships as a teacher post such as teach for India, Gandhi fellowship, and a few more. The highest package was 15 lakhs this year and usually, around 80% get placement.

The Faculties Are Well Qualified and Kind-Hearted and Friendly. Exams Occurred At Right Time And Very Strictly Managed. Exams Are Quite Easy To Pass.

My academic experience at University Law College, Gauhati University

Before enrolling myself in ULC, GU it tried to get in to Facuty of Law, Delhi University but because of lack of preparation time as I decided to get myself into studying law very late, I could't clear that particular exam and then to seek for other options I found ULC which has a very rich history of a great alumni base including esteemed Jurists and Lawyers around the country. The admission process includes an examination of 100 marks coducted by Gauhati University which tests students knowledge in various aspects including General Knowlege, English, Mathematics, Logical Reasoning. The cut off for general category students ranges from around 20 to 30 based on the result of other students. I got through this exam scoring 56 with a rank of 5.
