Likes

Teaching staff is really understanding and also resolves queries.
Labs are well equipped with the instruments.
Classes are spacious and occupy almost more than the admissible number of students

Course Curriculum Overview

The course would have great opportunities as in the governmental fields. The teaching is up to date and latest information is always provided. Exams are frequently conducted based on the units taught and both subjective and objective exams are conducted

Fees and Financial Aid

The year vise fees for forensic science in YCIS is 40,000 and it includes all the fees like tution fees, registration fees, admission fees, development fees. There are various scholarships and fellowships available too. A minimum scholarship of around 1000 rs can be issued. Entrepreneurship department provides for the students interested in having their own business.

Campus Life

There are various activities and festivals conducted in the campus. From freshers to farewell. There are different departments that conduct programs. Science summits, debates, competitions etc are also conducted

Admission

The admission process is really easy. An online application is to be made first on the college website. And then after the approval all you have to do is submit the required documents and the minimum admission fee. Thats it

Faculty

Faculty members are very helpful. Teachings are understandable and the staff also teaches in local and English language as per the understanding of the students. exams are regular and 95% of the class is able to clear all the subjects and nobody has difficulty in all the subjects.easily understandable syllabus.

Interview Experience

There was discussion with the teachers of the department but no written exams were conducted. The discussion mostly focused on why to opt for this course. Not much preparation was required. The questions were basic and understandable

Night Life

There are gyms in and around the college. College itself has a well equipped Library. Cafeteria is also accessible in and around the campus. There are separate hostels for boys and girls. It feels safe around the campus even at night

Well worth the journey!

Course Curriculum Overview:

Parricularly the modules which focused on animal science & botany, the curriculum was built to learn from basics to the advance level towards research area of biology which impressed me alot. The focus on animal biology, statistics, cell biology & genetics, ecology & wildlife conservation, Immunology & biotechnology leads a foundation to successfully enter the real-world and apply this knowledge for better cause of humans as well as animals. As the therotical teaching method can differ from on-hand experience on field there is a need to improve the course curriculum around this issue. The learning period was designed perfectly in-course of the prepaption time between each test and it wasn't difficult if we are well prepared.

From 6 sem th students are eligible for campus placement, there were many companies which gave the placement in this college like eg infosys, biochroma, thakur polytechnic etcthe higesh package was about 11 lpa and average was about 5 lpa , about 80 percent students got the placements but my plan after getting the degree was to do masters

In univeral college from sem 6 students become eligible for campus placements, Name of the companies offered in placement is TATA TCS, Infotech , and etc. Highest package from our college is 10 LPA and average is 3.2 lacs per annum. 20% percent of students successfully get placed in the companies from our placement team. After getting degree i will prefer to study more with MCA two years of course and side by side business & developing webs and applications as this is my passion and motive. i will prefer business Now i am interested in python programming language and JAVA after this React JS, Node JS and PL / SQL + MONGO DB for backend programming which has no user interactions.

The Campus Story : the lands of horror.

Placement Experience:

My college gives campus placement placement opportunities typically after 4th semester, which is the 2nd half of the 2nd year. As my college has a partnership with IBM so the standards of campus placement go right up as the placement depends on the curriculum performance of the student so can't really say much for this. If saying as a stalemate, getting a placement is basically confirmed if the student maintains his/her CGPA of 6-7, which shows the consistent of the student in their field.

The course is an integrated MSc and the Institute is funded by the both university of Mumbai and the department of atomic energy. Student: teacher ratio is so much satisfactory, each professor knows each student. The professors are mainly visiting professors from IIT Bombay, barc, tifr etc institutes.

I applied to University of forensic science, Mumbai and Sandip University, nashik. I got accepted in the latter one but i didn't take admission in it since the fees were too high. I got rejected by the former university cause my percentage was not up to the par that was required for students from general category.
