What Students Say
Likes
- I liked the expertise of the teacher and the best thing was the Public administration course which is not available in all of the top cllollege of India.
- People here are very friendly. You won't take even an hour to make new friends.
- The campus environment is great. It is a huge campus with best library ever.
Dislikes
- The infrastructure is very poor especially in the Arts and social science department. The infra for Medical science, IIT, and sciences are good.
- The administration is not as well organized as that of DU as I have studied in both the colleges, hence not all the messages are conveyed easily.
- Also the girl to boy ratio of the course is very less, like just 10 girls in a class of 40.
Course Curriculum Overview
So most of the students pursuing the course are the UPSC aspirants whose optional is the Public Administration. The entire course covers more that what there is in the syllabus of Public administration optional. The course is vert well structured in all verse that starts with evolution of Public administration and ends as it's current relevance.
Internships Opportunities
As such there's no official placement cell apart from IIT amd the Management Studies. Since I am not from that particular sector I won't be able to elaborate. For Social science there's a student ru placement cell who collaborate with new companies and governmental opportunities. Rest theres no such thing like cells since most of the students in this course go for government exam preparation.
Fees and Financial Aid
Well first of all I am writing details of the MA public administration course of BHU which surprisingly was not in the course option. The fees for the course is 18000 for one year. And one can avail the UP scholarship form.
Campus Life
So, BHU do not have any official clubs but students are so active that they themselves have formed numerous clubs including dance, music, literature, film society and even many more. All these clubs are run by student of the college.. Campus life is amazing, you can absolutely enter any other department and take a tour, at every few metres you'll find a canteen of other department. There's museum, temple, and lot of amazing thing. Even if one wants he cannot explore campus in one day. The campus is insane.
Admission
So in order to get admission to this course you must have appeared for CUET PG COPQ11 paper code...even a decent marks of 170 plus will land you here in BHU as the course has not been yet discovered by much... I couldn't get to other colleges as my CUET score for MA political science was less.
Faculty
Okay so there's semester system. The course is for 2 years i.e. 4 semesters. The course consists of 5 papers in each semester that makes a total of 20 paper in the entire course. Each paper carries 100 marks i.e. 70 for theory and 30 for internal assessments. The faculties over here are the best you can find for public administration.
Night Life
In regards to the safety measure most of the activities in campus are halted after 8pm but still hostelers wander around especially near the Birala hostel or the area of VT i.e. Vishwanath temple, one that is in the campus. Apart from that it's not that safe for girls to be out after 9 or 10pm as half of the campus is covered by big trees.
