All about BHU.

Banaras Hindu University is ranked at no. 3 by NIRF in all in university ranking since last 4 years. Admission in this university can be done by sitting in entrance exam conducted by University every year and scoring valid marks. Fee is also very less and you will get good level of exposure while studying there through extra curriculum activities like joining NSS and NCC. Other than things there are orientation by guest visitors from across the country expert in their respective fields. All these things made this university no.1 choice.

I choose B.A Economics because of my interest in the subject. All faculties are extremely qualified (Assistant professor and associate professor). Faculty student ratio are 1:30. Faculty teaches in classroom having board and screen. It depends on teacher and subject matter that how they teach (using his/her laptop on screen or simply orally about the topic or using marker on board). We were having 2 semester every year for 3 year B.A program. Exams are pretty easy to pass if your attendence is 80%.

No. I haven't opted for internships. But many students applied for internship from various sources such as on social media and website such as internshala. Some gets paid and some work for just certificate.

There is no placement opportunities in college for B.A program. Most of students after graduation goes for higher studies and government job preparation. However if you want to do job you can get one in local NGOs and private firms by recommendations from senior professors.

Life at campus is one of the best in india. Many cultural fest takes places such as 'kashiyatra' and 'spandan' other than this every faculty also has its own culture fest. Library is good with updated weekly magazines, newspapers and journals. There are also full opportunities for almost every sports you play. You can also organised events and take parts in various cultural programme.

Fee is charged on yearly basis. 1st year fee was 10,000 and next two year was 7,000. Other cost included the books and stationary cost. There is also scholarship for students coming from below poverty level. There is no company coming to college for placement. But student who seeking for placement got jobs on university name and recommendations from senior professor in NGOs and private firms.( Most students go for higer studies and government job preparation).

All students don't get hostel facilities. It depends on marks basis. Hostels are good and food is also good. You have to pay extra for food(20 for breakfast in morning and 40 for lunch and 40 for dinner) PG and rented room is available outside the campus.

Process of admission start with application form followed by entrance exams conducted on all india basis. Once you score cross the cut-off line, you get call letter for councelling. In councelling process you have to submit all the documents.(previous marksheet and migration). Once councelling is done you will get your status on portal for course you get. It can also upgrade depends on candidates if they don't take admission. Once you confirm you admission (lock your seat on particular course) than you have to pay fee for 1st year within time limit for final enrollment in university.
