Course Curriculum Overview

Course curriculum is very good it is very understanding to everyone.. Everyone are adjusting with the course whatever the teacher teaches us if we mind the teacher then we can easily cover up that topic

Internships Opportunities

Internship program is very good we have one of the best teachers to help in the internship.. We are sent to many palces like ONGC NRL OIL etc for internship and many more good good companies.. It is good to study in this collage

Fees and Financial Aid

It is one of the best collage which offers various courses such as b. Tech and b. Sc we have many department such as power electronics and instrumentation... Electronics and telecommunications.. Civil.. Mechanical.. Physics.. Chemistry... Information technology... Maths.. We have very well equipped facilities having all the facility in collage clean rooms pds teachers and have a very warm good environment. . . the fees we pay is just a marginal amount on basis of the facility we are having

Campus Life

Overall experience is very good sports section and other cultural section is very impressive.. There are various clubs like robotics tinkering lab etc and they are always open many chances we get there a very large environment

Admission

It is near my home and it is one of the best collages in assam to pursue b. Tech and i dreamt of taking instrumentation and i got instrumentation there so that is the main reason.. Other reasons includes that my manu friends are also in that collage my elder brother sister are also there

Faculty

Facility members are just awesome.. Tremendous hardworking and very supporting.. We have 3 cie exams of 20 marks in 1 sem and having end sem exam in between there are practical lab project group assignment ppt and various other tasks to perform

Night Life

Night life around my collage is good but as i am not from hostel pg i don't know much about that but as per my knowledge i hear rhat everyone are very kind generous and very supportive they study play together

Placement Experience:

Placements at IIT Guwahati are excellent especially in the tech field ,with high placement rates and strong average packages generally Rs 30 lakh per annum. Top companies regularly visit the campus. After completing the course if i do not get placed on campus which is hardly possible i'll look for other off campus placements.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Most of the professors are good here.The college covers the core subjects required for strong foundation in engineering. However the theoretical coverage is good the scope for practical exposure is still required.

Placement Experience:

The placement is quite good in my college. In 7 th semester the placements start and the package goes from 16lpa to 2 cr . About 75 percent student who applied got placed . I want to work in a software firm.

Students normally appear for placements in fourth year with two placement seasons namely from december to january and february to march. Companies include quant companies and tech giants like JPMC, Reliance Industries, WellsFargo,Piramal, Standard Chartered,Texas Instrumentation, walmart, Microsoft, Amazon, Deloitte,Oracle, HCL, Barclays, Tata steel, uber, legato, Mastercard, Nutanix, BPCL, BEL,PWC, Socgen, etc. Almost 80% students get placed every year with the average package ?1,60,000. The highest package was 1.68 crore per annum from the branch of Computer Science.

Placement Experience:

only fourth year students are eligible for campus placements . the detalis of the visiting compaies are not thte sure but at least 10 stuents are placed each year from every single batch. the higest so far was 20 lpa and it was in amazon , the student who cracked that placement applied it off campus . on campus placement was not more than 10 lpa so far . the percentage of students getting placemnets are less than 50% not because of quality of placement but majority stuents opt for higher studies or goverment jobs rather than direct placement . my paln is to also pursue higher education

I chose JIST because of its balance between affordability, academic structure and accessibility compare to many private engineering colleges JIST offers a government aided set up with lower fee which was an important factor for me at the same time. It provides a stable academic environment with focused engineering curriculum, other reason was location JIST is situated in Jorhat, which is relatively well-connected and has a calm academic atmosphere compared to colleges in bigger cities. It has fewer distractions and allow students to focus more on studies. Best coolege

This college is good but the infrastructure, faculty can a lot better, no internet facility there where as routers are available but no connection on them, computer labs are worst. Only few of computers are workable no projectors no digital teaching....Read More
