Course Curriculum Overview

4

As software engineering is a core tech based branch it has quite good applications in the real world along with it the curriculum is quite aligned with the industry standards. the syllabus covers many core topics which are relevant to the industry like data structures and algorithms , Machine learning , Cloud computing, Software testing ad Maintainance, Artificial Intelligence. The avg package of branch is quite high and the roles include sde and ml roles. the labs and faculties are well versed and are globally recognised. Socities are quuite active in arranging fest and guest personalities so that they also could guide us for real world work systems . I am in Ecell dtu and every month there is a guest person(someone with a core business ) and they give us atalk session and provides us guidance. Every 3 months there are mid sem exams and at of the semister there are end sem exams which ensures comprehensive coverage of the syllabus along with tests our problem solving skills and analytical abilities.

Placement Experience

5

the placements at dtu are quite good with top companies visiting campus every year. students become eligible for campus placements starting from 7th semester and are eligibe for on campus internship placements from the 6th sem. companies including the tech giants like microsofft, Amazon,Adobe, Flipkart< samsung come. finance companies including jp morgan,Mckinsey,Goldman sachs also come. roles offered include SDE roles , Data analyst, Product Manager, AI/ML roles and Frontend developer the highest package was 2cr+ (international offer) and the avg package specially for software ranges between 20 to 26 lakhs

Fees and Financial Aid

For the first year students the dtu administration is charging 2,29,000(INR). this include tuition fees of 1,47,300 and student welfare fee of 20,000, facility and service charges of 36,000 and ews fund 10,000 and examination fee of 15,000 and medi claim for students of 700. there are multiple scholarships availabe which are provided by dell, adani company and airtel and some other scholarships are there whhich are from central and state government

Campus Life

5

my experience with DTU has been vibrant, diverse and enriching. Fests here are as follows:- engifest:- held in mid february every year and is very good Yuvaan :- it is a also a fest held in dtu in the month october, it is quite crazy and crowdy Arena:- it is an inter branch spoerts competition and fest dtu has a very big library which contains more than 100000 books and are of various variety .

Admission

DTU has a rich legacy and an alumni network that spans across various industries . NSUT offers a good curiculum too but has fewer industry focused eectives and has an avg package much ower than dtu IIIT delhi emphasizes research but is overlly academic which prohibits overall growth and does not allow to students to look for other activities other than academics. DDTU also offers a vibrant campus life with numerous technical societies which are too good at their work, cultura socities and fests which make ita n ideal choice for both personal and professional life of a student DTU admits student base don JAC which is based on JEE main rankings of student. DTU has slighly higher cutoffs than NSUT and IIIT delhi and for tech branches the cutoffs are even higher. But I was able to secure a seat in software branch because of my strong jee main rankings. the counselling process was smooth and transparent . I did not face any rejection from NSUT and IIIT delhi , it was solely my decision to join dtu rather nsut andiiit delhi

Faculty

4

the faculty to students ratio is 1:10. Faculties are qie approachable. some of them teach very well and some are there just for time pass. for my specific branch my EE teacher and AEC teacher were very good, ECE and maths teacher were also good but the physics faculty aws too bad . there are two type of exams mid sems and end sems . These if one pays attention to class and studies online and do some amount of pyqs then exam would be. cake walk for him.

Interview Experience

4

no there were no group discussions neither there was any interview and there was no written test other than jee (joint enterance examination ) I only have to get a good score in my jee mains examination

Night Life

5

the gym and indoor sports facilities usually close by 8pm, but students can make use of outdoor sports grounds till ;ate evening. there a quite a good number of cafeterias and del tech is one which is open in nighht till 2am the dtu central library is open till 8 pm but during exam time extended are provided

Placement Experience:

Placements are good especially during recession. You're eligible for placements after 3rd year. After 2nd Year you're eligible for Internships. All Big Companies like Google Microsoft Apple Goldmansachs Mckinsey etc. Highest package offered till now in 2025 is 85LPA (Atlassian) Average of CSE is 17 -18 lpa . almost 53% people get placed in 2025 (recession time). See The degree OF DTU has its value. So it gives you an edge while you go for off campus.

Placement Experience:

The placement rate here is around 70-75% on an avg in all branches and sometimes even higher. After 1st year only , multiple opportunities starts coming . After 1st year and before 2nd year , basically in summer vacation we have to do a compulsory internship (college also provides) and we are provided a credit for that . Then multiple opportunities like GOOGLE STEP ,amacon internship , etc come.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The university doesn't beat around the bush while deciding the courses. They have picked only the subjects and the curriculum that are suitable for our field and focus on making us future-ready. Some subjects might seem a little fast-paced, but if you are consistent enough, you won't face any problems. It is safe to say that the exams and things taught in most the subjects are same to that of its so there is no lacking behind in that aspect.
