Positive remarks :- Boys girls ratio is much better than any other IITs Girls are given special scholarship and facilities. Branch change in 2nd year have 50% possibilities very high than other colleges. Students population is very low than other colleges. IIT Mandi is in hills of Himalaya.

Here, In IIT MANDI B.tech, M.tech, M.sc and PhD students doing engineering courses, In b.tech there are four branches : CSE, EE, ME, CE In first year b.tech all semester courses are same for every branch but after first year all branches have some common and some branch wise courses. Exam structure is like 2 minor exams named as quiz1 and quiz2 and 1 major exam named as End-Sem. Marking system is grading system and grades are relative. Attendance criteria is 70% mandatory.

Here placements and job opportunities are very high , approx 80-85% b.tech students are placed from every batch. I am from 2nd year so not much known about placement. And our college provide internship but I don't know much about it.

There are many sports, technology and cultural events organised in our College. One biggest fest is exodia. Exodia is cult-tech fest of IIT MANDI Biggest fest of Himalaya. One major sports+tech event is Rann-Neeti. Many other fest are Utkarsh, Aagaz, Hakathon etc.

Fee structure is feasible, It is divided in three parts mainly. For sc-st category students tuition fees 1 lakh is not taken as scholarship, only hostel and mess fees (approx 20000) is taken. For obc - general students if family income is less than 1 lakh then only mess and hostel fees taken, if family income is more than 1 lakh and less than 5 lakh then hostel-mess fees + 1/3 of tuition fees scholarship applied, if family income is more than 5 lakh then no scholarship provide. Also for girls students tuition fees is not taken and extra some monthly amount is given as scholarship.

Scholarship program mainely for sc st students. And for girls our college is one among the all IITs who provides free education with extra scholarship. For obc and general students whose family income is less than 1 lakh has provided extra scholarship per year. Loan facility is given by College through SBI and PNB bank.

Extracurricular activities are fantastic here. In starting of first year, there is an induction program named as 5WIP. In these five weeks there are many extracurricular activities like as plantation, exercise, yoga, traveling, hiking tracking, sports, English speaking session, human values session, art and many more. Labs :- Mechanical , electrical, computer , VLSI labs are in this College. All labs are functioning nicely. Sports culture is very nice in this college, all types of games are played by students.

Hostel has very modern infrastructure, it has all basic needs like as fan tube light washing machine dryer induction fridge vendiman common room study room lan cable wifi television etc. And hostel rent is only 6500 for one semester (approx 4 months)

Alumni meet are held in every year, ther is an alumni association here. Alumni of this College are working in various companies, some are in civil services. They are well connected with College. Catalyst organisation is associated with alumni.

First passed jee main entrance exam and qualified for jee advanced exam Then passed jee advanced. After jee advanced, a rank list is given by cbse, then I applied for different IIT Colleges and different branches priority wise. Finally according to rank I got this College.

Faculty of this College is from two different schools, SE and SCEE named as School of Engineering and School of computing and electrical engineering. Faculty are very high educated and taken degree from foreign colleges. Some faculties are very good in teaching, some are average in teaching.
