What Students Say

Likes

They have a very big campus for students
There are many sports facilities available
Everything can be found under one roof here

Dislikes

The classroom is nice but sometimes the AC does not work
Teachers are quite average I can say for students
They only have 2-3 printers accross the qhole campus

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is good I can say particularly for some specific semesters I liked it.. there are 6 semesters for me as I started it in 2022.. for present fy students it will be 4 years now and that's why they have 1 more year

Internships Opportunities

There was an internship programme which I took part in earlier as that particular internship programme was held on my area, Finance. According to different area different types of internship are held.

Placement Experience

Currently I'm pursuing bba finance and also preparing for my mba entrance exam.. CET,CMAT so that I can attend the exam on march 2025.. I would like to pursue mba as well as upskill my resume by learning new skills for 2025

Fees and Financial Aid

They provide many opportunities and programs related to finance whoch are quite interesting to me personally.. about scholarship..yea rhey do provide but on other topics.. i dont have much idea about it.. but their official website can help a lot related to info.

Campus Life

Technological staff is good. There are a lot pf books available in Somaiya in their library.. they have a huge library whoch they take very seriously about it.. and about sports.. uff they have everything! Swimming pool, turf, badminton court, basketball, football court, etc

Admission

Admission process is basically to handle from digital services as they have their own website sksc.somaiya.edu from there I got an admission by filling out their online forms and payment also done via online

Faculty

The exams are quite mid like not easy and not difficult.. the checking is based on the difficulty lwvel of paper and yes often the teachers help students by giving pass marks if one fails to pass and syllabus are sometimes a lot and they ask bit of thatt

Night Life

There are hostels available for remote staying students.. seperate building for girls and seperate building for boys. The night life is safe in Somaiya college.. also there are many programs held whoch end on night

Almost all the top firms which are into finace, auto and other top sectors comes to recruit here. Seminars and classes for training and placements are mandatory for students once they are in the second year. Final placements happen in the final year only.

Placement Experience:

Campus placements are okay and mid. Don't expect higher packages like over 7 LPA; the highest was, I think, 6 LPA. Most are campus placements, and the companies coming in are mid-tier too. Not expecting much from here, though.

I was really into HR role and this course helped me improve myself and really explore deep into the role of HR. It helped me prepare for the real world. I just wish there were more real life experiences during the teaching and course.

BMCC college provide the internship as well as placements to the interested students. Average package in BMCC college your can expect 4 lpa and the highest can go up to 7 lakhs. In BMCC college well known companies like JP Morgan, Deutsche Bank, BNY mellon,HDFC Bank, Wipro , Infosys, Tata Motors, Zomato etc have came for the Placement. Looking at the current scenario in the market placements are okay in BMCC college. But still it can be improved college needs to get more well known reputated companies also they should make sure to get a good job role for the students.

Soumya Vidyavidhyar is Superfluous!!
