Course Curriculum Overview

3

I choose this course because i was interested in accounting and taxation policy. As of now the faculty members are great with their jobs. The exams take place every semester and they are a but hard but can be done.

Internships Opportunities

4

You can get yourself enrolled in the college's internship drive. You can get an internship under accounting, consultant, etc. The companies like ICICI Bank, E.Y, Easemint, Delloite, KPMG, etc. The average stipend if of 5000-7000 per montg

Placement Experience

5

You are eligible to get enrolled for college's internship drive from second year(Semester-3). And to get a full time placement you have to be confident and those placement starts when you get in your sixth semester.

Fees and Financial Aid

The college fees for our course is same for all the students i.e between 38000-40000 per year. There's no such scholarship in our college. And there won't be any hidden or extra fees like exam fees or anything else.

Campus Life

4

There are various clubs you can take part into, like sindhi society, cegc, Castillo Club, etc. There are club events every alternative day you can participate, enjoy or organize the events. Our college libraries are well-stocked, there are computer labs with proper connectivity, etc.

Admission

I applied in 2 to 3 colleges but i was biased towards H.R college. I choose this college because it's better in many aspects like in studies, placement, etc. To get admission in our college you have to get good results in your HSC exams.

Faculty

4

The faculty members are very supportive and helping towards the students. Our exam takes place every 6 months (every semester). These exams can be a bit tricky but if you're consistent in your studies its doable. There isn't a negative marking scheme in our college.

Night Life

4

Our college doesn't have a hostel of its own but there are hostels and PGs near our college students can look according to their budget and preferences. The night life near our college is very exciting as our college is in the heart of the city, you can sit by the marine lines, enjoy same good food, and explore Mumbai's night life.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The main thing this college or any other college for that matter should do is host people from different walks of life and ask them to brief the students about whatever great things they know. You should also prepare your students for different life skills. A webinar on how to budget properly, how to invest, how to survive in a jungle etc. The practicals that were given to us held very less value in my opinon. It seemed as if we are just doing the practicals for the sake of it.

Course Curriculum Overview:

This course is recommended for the students who want to pursue a career in the finance field or if someone who is looking to a course like CFA, this bachelors degree becomes handy. This course teaches you about the financial spectrum of the whole world and gives you an intricate understanding about different financial instruments and their relevance in the society. It teaches one of the most sought after skills in today's world, that is financial literacy. Still I think some of the subjects introduced under the NEP are completely irrelevant such as EVS and IKS. We as college students need to give quality time on some professional subjects, not that these subjects are not important but they need to be emphasised in the early classes. There are three internal exams of 10 marks each and 20 minutes for each paper. The end sem exam is of 30 marks for minor subjects and 60 marks for major subjects. Also I feel that the difficulty level is okay.

Placement Experience:

Many top firms recruit students from PGCL. Though our college is relatively new, it has been able to provide decent internships and job placements for students. In the 2018-2019 batch, the highest salary package offered was 13.5 LPA. However, for good placements, students also have to make efforts. The placement committee is overall very proactive Due to the pandemic, for the 2020-2021 batch not as many companies could visit as last to last year. Out of eligible only 55% students were placed. However, the maximum package offered increased
