Course Curriculum Overview

4

The college prepares you for office culture which include writing a mail to your respective teacher before being absent for the day , being punctual etc. The curriculum included spreadsheets which help the individual understand how it works , we also have corporate law as well as legal aspects which help the individual to be aware of the frauds happening not only in their future work place but also in their daily lives. The exams are conducted almost every month , there are three internal assements and one end semester exam , 50% of the percentage is taken from the internal assessments and the other 50% is taken from the end semester exam. The course also lets you choose and extra subject that you want to study- film studies, python, C language, mathematics for economics and business, public speaking etc. The difficulty level is high and an individual has to study.

Internships Opportunities

4

The companies hire alot of students and give internship to the students as well as give job opportunities along with this they also offer alot of courses like CISI to the students for their development

Placement Experience

5

The placement rates are really good , almost 80-90% of students get jobs through placement. The big four companies come for placement ... companies like E&Y , PWC , goldmansachs , etc . Therefore placements are good.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees per year is ?1,10,000 for Bcom Hons , a year has 2 semesters. Registration fees starts from ?1000 and go upto ?3500. There are no fees for the usage of library and labs as its all included in the fees itself, though the only compulsory charge during the college is for the purchase of uniform and books if needed by the individual. The students who score good in the entrance test had the fees of ?90,000-?1,00,000 only for a year.

Campus Life

4

The college focuses on an individual's academics as well as extra curriculars , sports like football , volleyball, basketball, cricket etc are available and there are inter class , inter department events. There are fest and events that happen every other month.

Admission

I chose Christ University as it is the best university for commerce and business management. It offers good placements and almost 80-90% of students get job through placement. I also applied to St Josephs University though it felt like the priority is given to Christians more.

Faculty

4

The faculty of the college is really good , everyone has experience and most of them have done phD. Their teaching skills are up to the mark and they help students understand about the concept by giving real life examples. Everyone is approachable and help the students even if they are facing any sort of mental pressure.

Night Life

5

Night life is good , police is on rounds mostly for the security of the students. The curfew for students living in hostel is 9:30pm. The curfew for PG students is 10:00-10:30 depending on the PG they choose. The peacock circle and amphitheater are good places to hangout inside college and there is Ikea as well nearby.

I would rat 8/10 as the course was pretty good, I learnt eaverything in my B.com, whether its abut marketing, finance, sales , accounts. So basically it included everything a student needs in their graduation. I suggest that there should have been regular classes with encourages student teacher interaction.

Placement Experience:

We had placements coming from 5th semester such as Accenture, EY, TCS, Morgan Stanley etc. The highest package was 5,00,000 pa, and the lowest was 2,50,000 pa. 65% of students are getting placement. After getting degree, I am planning for employment.

Course Curriculum Overview:

the specific aspects of the cirriculum that influenced me to take my decision to choose these b.com course because I need to have my own identity and it is one of most common course among commerce background and i feel enjoying the study of my university . the cirriculum prepares the real inthe life while joining to extracirricular activities like adventure club, sports , quiz competiton etc. the college does not have any placements in the college they have to adapt these course cirriculum activities and few lectures teaching skill have to develop and improve the performance of students to pass in their subject. the very some lectures are irregular to the college and they won't take class at all . the frequency and timing of exam is perfect there is no p[rospective to me.

Remarks:

In our period it was prestigious to study commerce stream in our college and had good rating for the course and the for students who passed out from that college. The management had good lot of concern about the poorer section of the society and hence kept the fee structure at a very nominal level and thus help to get education for all
