The curriculam is specifically designed for blue collar jobs where you have to look after industries and chemical plants and not too outdated syllabus but not much updated also it is ..decent enough to be studied as a chem engineer.

Itnernships are offered mostly for branches in 3rd year by companies like honeywell etc and these are paid internships which give about 3000/- per month these are like for two month intersips and many other opportunities are available near chandigarh for same

Campus placements are offered for all the branches with an avg package of 6-7 lakhs annum .companies like jubliant ,honeywell, punjabagro ,xonmobill pick students from our college and last year the placements were done for 98.5% students where others chose higher studies.

Clubs like dance ,music are there which are decently active but Enactus ,PU which is run from DR.SSBUICET under faculty advisor Prof Seema Kapoor is the most active society which works for social causes .Along with this INDIAN PLASTIC INSTITUTE ,CND CHAPTER is also here.many more are there

Structures of hostels which are old like GH1,2,3,4 Bh1,2,3 these are old hostels and need repairs but new hostels have good infrastructures For girls there are 10 functioning hostels with a minimal fee of Rs 5000/sem and mess canteen charges excluded But getting a hostel is very hectic job as there are long waiting for that.

My jee rank was not that high so i applied for JAC chd coucelling and made it DR.SSBUICET in BE (CHEMICAL ENG + MBA) 5 yr degree where after studying for one year i appeared in PUMEET which is for branch upgradation and upgraded myslef to BE(CHEMICAL) 4 yr degree which i wasnt able to get during my admission process . This college is gov and is a part of PANJAB Uni which well known for tmits heritage which is much better than many private universities like CU,CHITKARA which are overpriced and overhyped .Many students during PUMEET shifted here from them

The faculty to student ratio is less as mostly faculty is guest faculty and permanent professors are very inapproachable but the knowlegde and way of teaching is very poor as in any engineering college at the end you have study youself only. There are two semesters every year and in each sem there are 2 mid sem exams with a best of two marking scheme and then at the end of each sem there is end sem exams.

Nighlife is safe for girls in university campus.AC joshi library is 24-7 open for studying and with millions of books ad best possible resources this is the best place to study during nights.security is also fine here with Chnd police.
