Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course curriculum at our college is moderately relavent to the current industry trends and academic standards , especially for my AIML branch. I can rate 7/10. The focus on AI & ML was the key motivator for me to join this course and i knew that this college has tha best AI teaching pofessionals , graduated from NIT's and IIIT's. The curriculum is balanced btw theory and practical knowledge with things like internships , minor & major projects , seminar etc. I would suggest bringing more subjects like specialization in blockchain , cryptocurrency also medical field. The teaching techniques are as usual - PPT slides. I want them to teach with real time interaction with devices. There are exams for every 3-4 weeks like Minor, Mid , Sem. Those are at moderate level and can be cracked if we work a little hard.

Internships Opportunities

4

The interships provided by college are not enough to build knowledge. We need to apply outside the college. They will provide with a 2 months internship from CISCO. And helps us recomendation for an offline internship. I have done CISCO offered here and other online interships apart from college. I have completed internship in web development from AICTE. Also completed many internships from codesoft and codealpha. They hepled me to improve my skills without any stipend. i have prepared a basic functional e commerce wesite - DREAMCART, A responsive music player app for web development internship, also some minor things.

Placement Experience

3

The placements at our college are ok , not quite bad. But not as good as expected. The students get to interviews in 1st semester of the 4th year. Many companies like amazon, cisco, chubb, modak analytics, accenture, Atlas, Oracle, poltech, etc visit our college. Upto now , the no. Of placements would be around 70. The highest package offered till now is 31 lpa by amazon and current year is 14.3 lpa by oracle till now. Average salary of this college is around 6-7 lpa. The percentage of students getting placed is gradually being reduced. till now , only 30%. My plan is to get a good job with good amount of package. If i didnt , i will continue M.Tech further.

Campus Life

5

The overall college experience will be very good. You will get to know the meaning of the life at the end. You are free to explore anything from arts to sports. There are multiple clubs available for student talents. The infrastructure is excellent and key attraction of KITSW. There is an annual Technical fest - SUMSHODHINI(oct-nov) and a cultuaral fest -SANSKRITHI (march), and other minor events. The library consists of all the books you want including epics , journals , ebooks , academic books, research papers ..etc. The classroom facilities are good with nice benches , free ventilation, a projection screen and a projector. There will be a sports meet called - sports gala every year to demonstrate our talent in sports. The students can have fun in clubs , gain knowledge , improve connections .

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel facilities is good without including food. We get enough accomodation and i think it is better than the hostles outside that are private. We are provided with a study table and a chair for each . we will be having shelves for our items and clothes. We have heat water 24/7 available for bathing and cold water for drinking. The quality of meal is not as good as expected. The breakfast is acceptable. The menu should be changed. We have to register for room allocation each year by submitting an application form and payment reciept at the office room. The hostel is quite affordable for the facilities. But the mess should be improved.

Admission

I have applied for many colleges individually like VIT, AMRITA, SATYABHAMA, SASTRA, etc.. I got admission from all those except sastra college. But the fee structure of those colleges is very high. I also wrote JEE mains and qualified , but i didnt get any intrested course , so from eamcet , I have applied top 30 colleges , and boom.. I have got into this. I got to college to check once and there is an admission fee of 13600/- at the orientation day. And no entrance exams. The mnagement quota is also available.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is more than 1:10 as the current year student strength has a steep increment. Some of the faculty has great relationship with students. Almost all faculty are good with students and teach students with their full potential , but some of them do not deserve their position. My favourite faculty are Dr. Soora Narasimha Reddy (professor and HOD) and Dr. Swathi ( assistant professor ) because of their expertise in their respective fields. They are the best faculty in our college. I cant name faculty , but there are some faculty who just read ppt's and donot posess prior knowledge in their respective subject. Nagaraju of CSE dept. and aslo Ramya of CSM dept. may or may not posess knowledge , but they dont know teaching and no proper interaction with students. There are 2 Minor exams (10 marks) , 2 Mid-semester exams (30 marks) , and End-semester exams (60 marks). There is continuous internal evaluation for laboratories (40 marks) and end semester lab practical exams (60 marks). Also there are course patent , course research paper , 2 assignments for each semester. A seminar , a major project and a minor project in 4 years. The standard of exams are moderately high. 80% of students will clear the exams , only one few students fail to clear. Some courses doesnt meet industry standards

Night Life

4

The night life in our college is good. As an hostellor , at night it is very quite & dark outside. The favourite spots are at ece block , canteen , mini canteen , dining hall , library. There is GYM facility available for free. The cafeteria contains all types of food available at respective times. Library consisting of wide range of books and jouranls. These all closes at 8 pm at night. They say that hostellors should be in hostel befor 9 pm but is not followed strictly. We can come at any time if we say a reason. The campus timings are from 9:10 am to 4 pm at evening. Outside the college, there are nearby restaurants we would love to snack-in. Other than that , we have few temples here.

Placement Experience:

SVIT provides good placement opportunities for general IT roles, but students aiming for niche fields like Cyber Security need to take initiative, upskill themselves, and explore off-campus options. The college is improving slowly, and I believe future batches will benefit more if industry tie-ups are strengthened.

Placement Experience:

Around 40% to 50% of students get placed in entire college. It is totally based on the skill of the student if students has very good skill training and placement officer also offers to apply for companies which only takes skilled students the college is totally computer science and only one section has ECE which is comparatively has less placements compared to other deparments since there is no computer science background this is the drawback for taking Electronics and Communication but if students are skilled in the Electronics backgroung Veda IIT which provides internship and job oppurtunities in VLSI and Embedded Systems but the student has to be a skilled person in the electronics subjects.
