Chinmaya - An Average Private Deemed to be University With a Good Vision.

The course curriculum is very relevant to today's market . They do offer courses like Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning , Data Science, Cloud Computing , Devops that are very relevant in current It Sector to accure a high paying salary. They starts the trianing for the curicullum from the first semester itself . They provide value added courses and skill enhancement courses too. The college provides placements too for our benefits. The exams are frequent and moderate . 2 Internals and 1 sem exam will be conducted within a semester.

Currently I havents utilised any kind of intership opportunities provided by the university . They provide mails and notifications when the PM's Intership program conducted by Intershala . As I was not eligible for that program I couldn't participate for the same.

The campus placement is starting from the 7th semester as it is a honors program but they do provide intership opportunities like informing about jobs available in LinkedIn and other platforms like Intershala etc.. They usually say the average package will be like 4LPA . As per their agenda they will try to provide maximum placement assistance for students. My plan is to get placed in a high paying company.

The college provides several opportunities in and outside the campus. We have to pay 1200000 rupees per annum as college fees and a 10000 rupees is charged as the caution deposit if any indisciplinary actions are done by students and 3,500/- is charges as activity fees per annum and it is mandatory for the students to participate in any kind of extra caricular activities as per their interest this can be sports , coding , e-games etc.. . No other registration fees or hidden charges are charged during admission sessions or after. There may be some concession for financially backward classes but not given generally. All the students are respected to give the same fees and the it will be the same for all the year till completion of the course. A merit scholarship is awarded for students who has 7.5 CGPA in the university sem exam in total and also merit cum scholarship for students with a score of 70% more in 12th standard and also the same score of 7.5 CGPA in Sem examination .

Their are celebrations for regular festivals like onam , deepawali and several other occasions. The library now is small but informative they are planning for a big one that will be a library for the whole university. The sport activities are made inside the university as well as inter-university fests are also done.

I had applied in the Marian College Kuttikanam but was not eligible to get an admission in that college due to less marks.The main reason for choosing this college was that this is a private deemed to be university and has specialisation courses like AI , DS , Robotics, Devops , Cloud Computing etc that is very beneficial for my future career.The admission process was very simple Step 1 : Contact the admission cell of the college and book an appointment Step 2 : Go to the college and fill the necessary forms and pay 10,000 rupees as caution deposit. Your seat will be booked and a day will be allotted for submission of the certificates.

The faculties in the college are average . As many are PhD holders and top faculties in and out Kerala some teachers teaching strategy is hard to follow but will repeat the context if needed.They are friendly too. When going to the academic section of the university the university has two internal examinations that may be out of same score. The mark distribution of the internal is generally like 10 for attendance, 5 *2 for both internals , 10 for assignments and projects. Then the sem examination is out of 70 and have to score about 35 to get passed.

There was no kind of interview or mock test for editing the admission in the college when I took admission. The basic criteria was that we should get at least 60% mark in the 12th. But if for the next year we will conduct in exam or they will put a criteria of a good 85% is marks in the 12th for getting an admission in the university.

For now the gym is only for the hostelers and the cafeteria in the college is the worst thing that provides ???? . The hostel Life of my friends are boring and strict. The famous hangout place nearby is Areekal waterfall that is around 2,3 km from onakoor.
