Course Curriculum Overview

4

The curriculum is based on the latest NEP (National Education Policy). I would say it is pretty up to date compared to some other colleges. The applications of the subject are properly taught to is by the faculties. Though some improvements might be needed. Like some subjects are outdated or not required in our field. I think of them as extras. And yes you need to give their exams properly

Fees and Financial Aid

Total yearly fees for general is around 130k. For EWS/OBC it is 70k-80k. You can get various scholarship schemes at clg. They have a session each year to explain the details of the scholarship and how to apply then neatly. One of the most affordable private colleges in Mumbai.

Campus Life

5

So my campus life in first year was pretty good and easy. The library has a pile of books like a whole floor is comprised of books. There 5-6 same type of books as there might be a need that two or more students need the same book. A stationary is also provided inside e the campus. Every year during winter there are sports competition like tugofwar, football, lagori, etc as well as indoor games tournaments. A large number of clubs are also available like robotics club, 3d printing club, etc. There is also garba event during Navratri. Also there are small concerts and esports/gaming tournaments.

Admission

As I live in Mumbai, I of course had written my top priority in college form to vjti, spit but since my cet percentile was low I couldn't get admission in them. After vjti and spit I have written Vidyalankar Institute of Technology as my next choice, first got IT seat in VIT but I opted for round 2 and got CE seat. The cutoff was 95.88 that time for EWS Computer Engineering seat. You can also get admission through their own administration without any need for Merit rounds. Jee marks are also accepted.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is mostly around 15-20students for 1 faculty. The faculty are well mannered and have pretty good knowledge of the subject. Vishwas Patil was my personal favourite teacher during first year. He taught maths very amazingly. He didnt just taught us maths but also his life experiences and jokes which would make our 'boring' maths lecture exciting. I don't think there are any bad faculty just that some are too focused on giving assignments rather than teaching properly, some scold for no reason also but it not that bad. Each subject has 6 chapters. They are changing the exam scheme every semester. In my first sem it was just one unit test (2 chapters each subject) and end sem (4 chapters). In second sem, they took a test for 2 subjects every Monday. Total 3 test for every subject out of which 2 test with most marks was taken and there average was calculated which will be the unit test marks. End sem was of 6 chapters. In 3rd sem it is 2 test for every subject and there avg as unit marks and end sem of 6 chapters

Night Life

4

There two gymkhanas. Both have various indoor games to play such as table tennis, carrom, ice hockey, pool, etc. There is no hostel facility, you will need to manage on your own. There are some small hangout spots inside the campus like beside cafe coffee day, Nescafe. The library is opened from 8 am and closes at 8 pm, you sit and just study or you can work on your laptop as there are power circuits attached to some tables.

As on date, the placements from Amity University Mumbai go quite well, and this is also the reason considerate students get placed after having undergone their seventh semester and beginning of eighth semester. All said and done, to everyone's concern in and outside Campus, companies like Google, Microsoft do not regularly visit Campuses
