LIFE OF A BITSIAN

At this time me being a first year student we have a common year like all the cources are same but in general we have a well prepared and managed curriculum designed by the cources instructors itself and every year it may change according to the instructor. All the evaluation components frequency is neither too High nor too low you'll get time to enjoy . And difficulty of these evaluation components is significantly high you can't score without completely understanding the concept

The placement here are pretty good , we have two compulsory internship called PS(practice school) we have. Every year leading companies are there for campus interviews some of the companies are BMW Nvidia, Google etc the highest CTC last year was 60LPA And percentage of students placed was almost 80%

For the 2024 batch the total course fees for 4 years sums approximately upto 32 lakhs including the 5% inflation every year including hostel fees mess fees also you can buy some merch and stuff in this. For scholarships there is no scholarship category wise but instead it is on merit basis and merit cum need(but to get this scholarship your family income should be less than 15LPA)basis you can avail upto 100% scholarship

The overall experience of the campus is amazing we have many clubs and departments for almost every activity we have a club where a person can go and enjoy the infrastructure of the campus is also great the sports facilities and up to the mark we have BCCI mainted cricket ground a football ground 4 basketball courts 4-5 badminton courts Lawn tennis courts. The accessibility of books and journals is very convenient they are available in library also we have whatsapp groups where senior sell those books to the junior so there's no issue there and finally clubs and departments are very impactful you get to learn many things like working together, organizing events etc

For first year student we have double occupancy whereas from 2nd year onwards we have single occupancy with a study table , cupboard , shelves, white board and a bed. The meal here is good and the menu is changed after every 1-1.5 months

The college I got based on my jee advanced score was IIT Dharwad. I chose bits over IIT Dharwad because I was getting a better branch here also it was convenient from to travel here from my home place also the overall Ranking of bits was far better that that of IIT Dharwad . To get admission in any of the BITS campus you need to give BITSAT a entrance exam and based on you score in that exam you get admission and scholarship in this campus

The faculty student relationship is not at all a point of concern the faculties are too friendly and ready to explain even after the class infact every student is assigned with a faculty mentor as well. Coming to the evaluation system every semester has two quizs , mid sem and compre(end sem) the quizzes are held before and after the mid sems the overall marks distribution is kind of quiz

Night life of the campus is also a commendable as well you have night canteens almost upto 3 am we have vending machines you can roam around the campus with no in and out time restrictions on the hostel generally people are either in CNC or near B dome at night
