NMAMIT a dream campus life. From curriculum to activities to internships and upto placements

The curriculum includes all the necessary topics and information that plays a vital role to develop our basics on the course which also includes the lab oriented classes to give us a practical exposure to the topic . ECE being one of the top core branch needs atmost seriousness to get placed in a good company. The curriculum in ECE is mostly practical oriented and the faculty gives real world exposure to the students to make the best of their course. Talking about improvements the course could also include Frequent outdoor(industrial) classes and seminars to make the students know what is going on in the market The frequency of exams in this course in too often 1 exam per month which pushes the students to be up to date with their syllabus.

Almost all the companies that comes to NMAMIT initially provides only training and internship starting from 3rd year itself and once after completion for the 4th year it is converted into full time job. Other than that the college encourages students to do projects as a compulsory part of their curriculum starting right from 1st year itself . Also the intrested students can approach any of the lectures to get reference for any internship during their sem breaks. Also NMAMIT has its own startup and incubation center. That helps startups to grow and gives a road map to the new start-ups where there companies hire students from the campus itself .

NMAMIT has excellent placement programs around 500+ companies visit our campus every year which includes -mass recruitment companies, dream companies, super dream companies. An average of 90-95% students gets placed every year from the college. The placement program starts for the 3rd year itself which initially begins with the intership offers and then after 4th year it is converted to full time job. Some of the top companies that have visited out campus are - nutanix, juniper, IBM, texas instruments, Infosys, Accenture, oracle, Bosch, Walmart etc The highest package offered is 52.5LPA and the average package in NMAMIT is around 10 LPA As of me , i am also looking to get placed in on of the top companies that comes to the campus that companies i am rooting for is - Texas instruments, samsung , robosoft etc.

The first step to join NMAMIT is appearing for it's entrence examination (NUCAT) through which u an get a merit seat. If u get a rank below 500 in the above mentioned exam u only have to pay 10,000 that is the examination fees and the rest will be laid off, if u do not get a ranked seat then u are still eligible to get a seat but u have to pay around 1,50,000 - 3,00,000 depending on the courses you select. You can also go through the NRI quota if u have a close relative( 1st relative) who is a permanent resident of a foreign country and is earning in a company in that particular country. There are scholarships facilities also available in the college which u can apply for after joining the specific course.

The campus life in NMAMIT is outstanding. The management Focuses on extra curricular activities as equally as that of the curriculum. The main techno- cultural event that takes place is INCRIDEA which usually takes place in the month of February. Apart from the this even there are other major events of NMAMIT - AIKYA(CULTURAL DAY) , KATHIRU(ONAM CELEBRATION) , DIVYANKURA ( RAJYOTSAVA CELEBRATION) , ETHINIC DAY etc. The college also provides a 2 storied fully equipped library with over 50,000 books and journals and GD rooms , techno rooms and much more. The sports facilities of NMAMIT is amazing the campus has 1 cricket stadium, 1 indoor and 1 outdoor basketball court, football ground, badminton courts, indoor sports such as TT, CARROM, CHESS etc. NMAMIT has very active social clubs that helps students to gain skills and improve their abilities Some of the prominent clubs including - drama club , communication and soft skills club , ncc club , nss club , mental health club , aero club , robotics club , social service club and much more.

The reason for me choosing this particular college was simple . As a resident of Mangalore I didn't want to move out for my studies and the best college around was NMAMIT with regards to curriculum, activities, placements, faculty, college rankings etc.. As I had appeared for the NUCAT exam (entrence exam of NMAMIT) I was not sure of getting good grades and hence even before the results i decided to take a seat in NRI quota through my uncle who works in US . The procedure to get into NMAMIT is simple 1- NUCAT entrence test 2- NRI quota For NUCAT u need to prepare in the following subjects -(physics, chemistry, maths) After u get selected you will have to come to the campus to submit the documents and finalize your seat. For NRI quota u will have to provide certain documents that are needed from the relativesnin abroad and can get a direct seat with will also consider your 10th and 12th marks .

The faculty at NMAMIT are highly qualified and experienced. Most of them are PhD holders and they are very well versed with their subject knowledge. They give real time example that a student can relate to which helps us to improve our understanding about the subject. The semester is usually of 5 months which includes 2 sessional exams of 20 marks each and 1 semester exam of 100 marks apart from that we have lab exams and regular class tests to make us prepared for the upcoming exams .

The campus has quite good number of cafeterias within itself and the cafes and restaurants close the college campus are also amazing. There are good number of PGs around the college surroundings for the students who do not prefer hostel. There is also a highly equipped gym inside the college . The closing time for all of this is 9pm inside the campus and as the campus is in between the greens there is no hangout spots to approx 25 kms near the college . The in time for hostelites is 9pm . The safety is the students is every important and that's why a set of rules are applicable to the hostel students if they want to stay out of the hostel for a night or more.
