Likes

The quality of professors and their way of teaching
The campus and the labs are too good for engineering students
The cost of college and hostel fees are quite affordable

Dislikes

The leaves are very less and the curriculum is tough
The study schedule is fixed and rigid, as the curriculum is tough
The less number of fest organised and placement offers are a bit bad taste

Course Curriculum Overview

The curriculum is a bit backdated but it really helps to crack gate and other entrance exams. The syllabus is what the professors teaches us and it gets updated after every four consecutive years. Also the quality of questions asked in exams are of standard level.

Class Size: 40Course Fees: INR 12000 per year

Placement Experience

The placements are very less. Average package of 2023 is 9LPA. If I don't get placed, I'll opt for reaserch programmes. As most of the students of University of Calcutta are more reaserch oriented scholars.

Fees and Financial Aid

It's a reaserch based college so the rates of placement are very less but it's good for future based education engineering students. You can't ask for intership leaves and should score atleast 50% marks to stay in the college

Campus Life

The campus life is fun with seniors and other field scholars. In University of Calcutta, generally we don't get any fests and it's a bit harsh to be honest. But the senior and professor are always available to help you in college.

Hostel Facilities

Three persons in a room, with a cupboard, a table and a bed. The hostels got their own halls to eat and have fun. Also the hostel food and the hostel room is quite affordable and it's worthy of students money. Also the campus is silent so it's good overall.

Hostel Fee: INR 2000 per year

Admission

This is the second best engineering college after jadavpur university as in terms of Wbjee ranking. Also I took admission here, as the quality of reaserch facilities I get in university of Calcutta is enormous.

Faculty

There'll be overall 4 exams in a year, two mid sem and two final sems...the syllabus will be taught by our well known professors and there is less college politics than any other colleges. The students and seniors have a good bonding

Night Life

I didn't had any experience till now.so no idea about it.but. I wish to have A good and clean campus. The college is open till 6 pm and you can go to labs during this hours. The hostels are overall very good

Placement Experience:

From Third semester, the students become eligible for campus placements. The companies like P360, EY, Deloitte, Tech Mahindra, Neutanix, BinaryWorks and few more visited our college for placements and mostly 15 to 20 offers were made Highest package was around 5 to 6 lpa 50% students were placed I am now preparing for govt jobs and side by side also applying for offcampuses. I have also given CUET for pursuing M. Tech

Placement Experience:

Studentsbecome eligible for placements from 7th semester. Various companies such as TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Wipro, Tech Mahindra, Godrej, etc. come for placements. Earlier many offers used to come however in the recent years the number of offers made have reduced significantly. highest package comes around 10 to 11 lakhs per annum with average being 4-5 lakhs per annum. I have kept my options open after completion of degree in doing further studies that is Mtech or getting into a job whichever seems appropriate at the situation.

Placement Experience:

we are eligible for placement from 7 and 8 semester also their are many placement on thee intern companies. thier are total of 50 t0 60 companies that visits year which leads to very good placement percentage, in mining its above 90 percent. companies which come are infosys, microsoft, google , coal india, tcs, pwc etc. the higest pacage was 39 lacs by coal india. as mentioned above the placement is very good and almost everybranch placement is between 79 to 95 percentage of student which are placed, their are many mass recruiter if you didnt get the best pacakge you still have the chance to get a good package from the mass recruiter. my plan after degree is to advance in computer science even if i dont have the branch but i have the passion to do coding and become a web developer also i will try to get some more degree like mba and mtech and i will also try if i get selection to study abroad.

A GOOD COLLEGE WITH GOOD PLACEMENT , SPORTS FACILITY.

Placement Experience:

Students are eligible for campus placements from 7th sem. The names of comanies visited are TCS, Infosys, Capegimini,Tech mahindra etc. Some students Got 2 offer laters . Highest packages last year was 47 LPA (off Campus) 27LPA ( on campus). Average pakage was 5-6Lpa. The job role is Software Development. Percentage of Students Got placement is 92-95% In my Deoartment. Other is Around 70_90%. My plans to take placement from product based company.

After the 6th semester, the students are eligible for placements. Mass recruiters like TCS, Wipro, Infosys, Accenture, Capgemini, etc visit every year and pick up 80-100 students per company. Other companies like Amazon, Thoughtworks, Etc also visit the college. The highest package offered by our college is 15LPA by Thoughtworks. Every year around 75-80% of students get placed on campus. I plan to get a good job work for 2-3 years and then apply for Masters. Overall the placement is very nice in this college.
