Remarks

My college is wonderful, the faculty, management and all of us associated are very cooperative. I have no regrets on joining this place. Initially I was sad on not making it to the top notch IITs, BITS and IIIT. But now I'm very happy cos I get to stay at

Entrance Preview

I took the Eamcet exam and scored a rank of 11,000. I opted for CBIT in the B category. CBIT is the best college in Hyderabad, hence I chose to join there.

Internships Opportunities

I'm still in first year so no idea now. But big companies come to CBIT. I've heard that Microsoft, Google, Wipro, Infosys, Ibm etc offer pretty good internships with a stipend of 20k or so.

Placement Experience

5

Placements from top companies like Microsoft and Google were offered. Many people were placed. And the highest salary was 12 lakh per annum. It was offered to about three students.

College Events

5

CBIT MUN was held at Marriott this year. It was a mock UN conference. And I had a wonderful time.SUDHEE tech fest was held in September related to robotics. But on the event of exams I couldn't make it.

Fee Structure And Facilities

Well, yes. Expensive for b category. I have to pay 3,25,000 per year which is a big lump of money. But the college totally deserves that much. It's a total of 3,25,000 per year which adds to 13,00,000 for full course.

Fees and Financial Aid

I haven't heard of any scholarship so far. But loans are offered by banks in India. The regular study loans can be availed with no difficulty.

Campus Life

4.5

Campus life is too good. We had fun at all fests, labs are well equipped and fun. Sports are the best, I love playing football, basketball and cricket on campus. We also have intra college sports competitions which are too good.

Hostel Facilities

4.5

I don't live in a hostel but I've heard hostels are pretty good. At affordable prices. Mess food is good again after coming from Sri Chaitanya which was basically jail with bad food.

Alumni/Alumna

Seniors are very helpful. They never try to boss over us like it is shown in movies, they offer great help in everything we do. They give good academic advice.

Exam Structure

No, exams are pretty chilled out in college after coming from Sri Chaitanya in inter where everyday was a torture.

Faculty

5

Faculty is superb. Almost all of them are Ph.d's in their respective field. Teaching is so good. They are all highly qualified teachers. They try hard to teach us well and I think they are doing a good job in getting their knowledge through to us. Course

Course Curriculum Overview:

I like that the course doesn't feel outdated. Along with the regular subjects we spend a lot of time on coding, projects, and problem solving so it feels connected to what companies actually expect. As a second year student i already feel like i am building skills that i will be able to use during internships and placements and not just preparing for semester exams

Placement Experience:

From 4th sem itself students are eligible for placements. Although students get access to paid internships from their 1st year itself, just they need some effort. But as NIAT is yet new and no batch has passed out yet so we still don't have the exact placement percentage rate. But as we are getting paid internships from 1st year itself so it's very evident that placement would also be good

Placement Experience:

No batch has graduated yet so there's no record of placement data yet. But more than 200 students got internships. Also the unique point of NIAT is students gets internships from their 1st year itself. NIAT has connection in the industry also its unique teaching style, this allows 1st year students to get internships. Although there is no pass out batch yet, still many people got placed in good companies.

Course Curriculum Overview:

My college course curriculum is outdated .As im studying in computer science and engineering,i wpuld love to study about technological aspects and grow as a software engineering but in the course curriculam they teach my about mechanical workshops,There were no practical experience it jsut understanding the concept with theoritical part . i would love lo code but my college wastes entire time by helping with electricals, meachanical basics. i dont think is it really necessary for me understand in all the feilds they think that student should perform in all the fields as im in computer science and engineering student ,They should teach me more about coding and computer ,how it industries works and how these technology enhacning ,the arenot even explore about all these sectos they only teaching me about fundametals of all the subjects which is never useful for my studies . as i am in final year of btech i thought learning and deepdiving into computerscience and engineering subjects is more greater than learning all sector fundamentals,The area they need to improve is removing some of the oudated syllabus from their ciricullum and enhcing with the pratical experience not to teach only theoritical part. they have to teach all the areas with realtime examples. The timings of exams is very good .we do have 2 mid exams and one semester final exams for each sem and the subjects feels meduim level difficulty

Placement Experience:

The placements are comparatively more in this college, as there is more industry exposure. Students are eligible for placements from around 3-2 (3rd yr-II sem) to 4-2 (4th yr- II sem). Companies like Amazon, Cognizant, NCR often visit the campus. The highest package offered last year was 1.2 cr (International offer). Around 90% students who were eligible got placement. My plan is to get a decent package after the degree.

Students become eligible for campus placements after their 6th semester. The companies start visiting in 7th and 8th semesters. The companies are not much good and are mostly service based. So the placement statistics are also not much good. The highest placement last year was 10 lpa and the median placement was around 4.1 lpa. The placements were starting from 2.5 lpa. The better option for students is to apply for off-campus placements or start preparing for competitive exams
