Course Curriculum Overview

Being Computer Engineering student, The course is so well designed which includes Object oriented Programming, Database management system, Operating system, Data Structure. Also it includes Honor and Minor Courses.

Class Size: 69Course Fees: INR 134000 per year

Internships Opportunities

1) Web Developement Internship given by college during NAAC visit can be consider as In house Internship opportunity. 2) College collaborates with L & T Company for CrEast Internship program which is student Teaching program.

Placement Experience

College has Good Placements record. Average package of college is 5 lakhs. Top companies like SAP Labs, Seclore, nVent, Capgemini are on campus for recuritment. 3 student got the highest Package for 2024 year is 16 Lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

Total fees of OBC category is near about 135000 and by the scholarship by Mahadbit website, OBC students have to fill only 50% of the fess which is approximately 75000 to 76000. Half fees Govertment deposits into college.

Campus Life

Overall experience is very good. Specifically talking about student chapters and clubs which are the most important in college life. Some significant chapters are Student Council, ACM, CSI, IEEE, ISHARE, Madgear sports clubs, Domain, SIE club and NSS.

Admission

According to the decent CET Score, I found this college much better with respect to the placement and Internship opportunities. Not only this, but college gives a very good extracaricullar environment which includes college events

Faculty

College has 4 departments including Computer, Information Technology, EXTC, Mechanical Engineering. All departments have well qualified and high experienced faculties. Faculties provides detailed notes of every subject, Question bank and previous year question paper on college official website moodle.

Night Life

Night life in DBIT can include Hysteria Supernight, Colo night and Garba Rass. Another facitilities like canteen and specially new canteen is really good. Famous hangout space nearby college is Phoenix mall.

Placement Experience:

From 7th Sem, students are eligible for placements and undergo placement training. Many companies has visited so far but the big ones are Godrej, BEL, Framatome, etc. The highest package for mechanical was 7.5 LPA and the avg package was around 5 LPA with a majority of job roles as GET. Almost 95% students are placed. I'm preparing for GATE ME for higher studies

SIT is best engineering college of Pune!!

Placement Experience:

If one wants direct placements in comapnies such as Wipro, Cognizant, Hexaware, TCS and many more, SIT is the place. Highest is still unbeatable as one student in 2023 got a paycheck of 50 lakhs per annum from SIT. Even the average is over 10 lakhs now as most students are placed through SIT placements cell.

Course curriculum is also good and it is explained in detail on the college's website and there are labs for the courses which made learning fast and easy. Relevance(industry alignment)->8/10 The curriculum is designed to keep up with the industry needs especially in fast growing fields like computer science, management, design and pharmacy. Updated course such as AI, machine learning, cybersecurity, data science and 3D printing are included for tech students. Industry exposure depends on the students initiative it's not equally strong in every department. Comprehensiveness-> 7.5/10 First year courses focus on building strong basics in science, mathematics and communication skills. Later semesters introduce specialisation, electives, research projectsand soft skill training. The curriculum also includes personality development, entrepreneurship and innovation modules. A few departments could integrate new technologies fatser into the syllabus. I got into DBIT post completion of my diploma so it was a DSE or Direct second year engineering entry students , I got EXTC engineering in the second CAP round . The college offers Engineering in 4 Branches namely Computer Engineering , IT , EXTC, and Mechanical and students can get admission through either by doing 12th or after diploma . For students who have did 12th the college accepts admission through MHTCET and JEE the cutoff are usually high above 90+ percentile for Computer and IT branch while slightly low 80%+ for EXTC and Mechanical branch. The college has a overall seats of 120 seats in computer engineering Dept 60 of which are reserved for Christian Students. MH-Cet percentile of 97 is required as even though it was lockdown when i took admission the cut-off was still that. DBIT MUMBAI : where learning meets vibrant campus life .

i didnt applied to other colleges because my sister used to study in DBIT so i was sure the college will be good . while i also thought i was elegible for the college so i preferred DBIT for its approachable faculty and industry connections. the adimission process at DBIT involves eligibility based on 12th- grade marks and MHT-CET schores with atypical cutoff arounf 85-90 percentile for IT. the process is smooth, with a centralized counseling ensuring transpency. rejections elsewhere were due to higher cutoffs but DBIT has proven to be a great choice overall....Read More
