DBIT Mumbai College review

The college follows the course curriculum set by the university of Mumbai where in From First year to Final year you get certain compulsory subjects while you get 1 optional / elective subject which the student can select based on his preference and interest. The college also provides Honors and Minors Degree in Fields like AIML , CyberSecurity, DataScience and EV which are the recent Trends in the Industry

The no of companies that visit college for campus recruitment are 100+ while most of the companies are IT based and Mechanical Core branch based. The companies also offer Internship to students as well

The college has an overall good amount of placements and there is a dedicated training and placement cell who looks after the placements of the students. The T&P cell not only brings placement but also makes students placement ready by arranging well versed Industry training session for Aptitude test. The no of companies which come to college for recruitment are 100+ . Most of the Computer science and IT students are placed and have an average package of 6 LPA While the EXTC Dept has an average package of 3LPA and the average package for Mechanical Dept is 4.5 LPA

DBIT or DON BOSCO INSTITUTE OF TECHNOLOGY is one of the most popular colleges of maharashtra the overall fees for General category is 1,25,000 per yer to 1,42,000 in the final year while the fees are relatively low for SC, ST and other reservations. The college also has reservations for Catholic and christian students

The college has 2 FEST one is Hysteria which is the sports fest and the other is Colosseum which is the colleges Technical fest. The college has a Football Ground and a library. The College has clubs like Literature club, Singing club, dance club

I got into DBIT post completion of my diploma so it was a DSE or Direct second year engineering entry students , I got EXTC engineering in the second CAP round . The college offers Engineering in 4 Branches namely Computer Engineering , IT , EXTC, and Mechanical and students can get admission through either by doing 12th or after diploma . For students who have did 12th the college accepts admission through MHTCET and JEE the cutoff are usually high above 90+ percentile for Computer and IT branch while slightly low 80%+ for EXTC and Mechanical branch. The college has a overall seats of 120 seats in computer engineering Dept 60 of which are reserved for Christian Students. While the other dept have 60 seats per dept and 10% seats are reserved for DSE students

The overall faculty to student ratio is 1: 10 the students have a good relationship with the dept teachers,for those who are study geeks the college faculty still uses the traditional method of 75% attendance rule, while the teachers overall finish more than 50% of the syllabus for the semester exams.The IA exams are held by the college itself , while the ESE ie the end semester exams are held by the University of Mumbai

The college takes admission through CET and JEE after 12th through CAP admission process based on the merit rank you are alloted the college . after the college is alloted based on your liking of the branches you have to select the college

The college is located in Between Vidyavihar and Kurla . The college has a GYM , Boys Common room and Girls Common room. The college does not have its own hostel facilities students usually stay in PG's
