Course Curriculum Overview

4

We've been introduced CBME curriculum. This forced us to be good, the best version of oneselves. Taught us application based approach, increased ability for problem solving, practical approach, need to outsmart oneselves. The curriculum, though being a new addition was difficult to implement.

Internships Opportunities

4

Like every other medical College, we're required to undergo one year of mandatrotatory internship in the hospital on our campus, apart from PSM, which obviously requires u to go to PHCs for the postings. We're given a decent pay for the work considered, I believe. About 10k a month. Although, I would suggest an increment wouldve greatly benefitted

Fees and Financial Aid

The rguhs fee was about 1,24,00/- for first professional year. We were asked to pay 70k extra, but we're refunded back that money. We paid about 1.6-1.75lakh every following year, without any added miscellaneous fee. There is no scholarship that the institute provides per se, but I have seen students apply for the government aided scholarships n obtaining the same.

Campus Life

4

There are multiple cultural events which go throughout the year, although with busy curriculum, we could go only so far. There are student council groups, sports council, and research council group. Our time of the year we await would be Chiasma, our 3-4 day cultural event and 2 weeks of sports events. Obviously, we also hold exciting academic challenges as well, for those who take interest

Admission

I had applied to multiple other colleges. I couldn't secure a rank good enough to get into most of these colleges. But the colleges in my reach were East point college, Oxford college, kanachur college. It was my personal choice to travel further from home to reap benefits for my undergraduate years.

Faculty

4

The faculty to student ratio is a little on the lower side, but they make up for it with their expertise in their field of profession. There are about 3 internal exams conducted, along with a prefinal before we apply for the actual final prof exam by rguhs.

Night Life

4

Nightlife is not well heard of, given the college is situated a few miles off the city centre. The hostels require u to be back by 6.30pm and give informed permission to take a walk or o to the library. Library usually open from 8 upto 10 on usual days. This extends well upto 1-3am during internals and prof exams.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum is as per RGUHS Banglore which adequately prepared students for real world experience. The teaching methods need to be more competitive with case study of patients. The internal exams are conducted thrice in a year giving exposure to students.

Sat for the NEET exam and cleared it. Marks were good enough so got the college in 3rd of counseling. I also gave AIIMS and JIPMER exam as well.
