Remarks
Firstly, since manglore was closest to banglore I considered joining this college. Secondly, since I had a reservation ( under linguistic minority) the chances of me getting a seat in this college would've increased hence the choice.however, It would be unfair if I didn't talk about the very friendly staff and infrastructure of my college. Though medical colleges can be very stressful Srinivas medical college always finds way to implement fun along with learning. All the other activities conducted in our college ( sports day, foundation day etc) helps us take our mind off the stress we develop from studies and help us relax. The teachers also put in a lot of effort in helping us reduce the stress and cope up with the vast portions. The laboratory facilities are great too. Overall studying in this college is an experience you wouldn't regret in your lifetime.
Course Curriculum Overview
In regards to the course I'd say the college is well updated. Since the new form of education i.e CBME based was implemented this year for medical students efforts have been put into helping us understand the new curriculum and helping us excel in it. In order to help us with the theoretical aspects enough practical classes were conducted so we could easily correlate the two. The faculty here is really good but I think it's important to give credit to the physiology department for the amount of efforts they put it in. It is only because of their efforts that it is easy to pass in atleast one subject.
Placement Experience
Since I'm a first year medical student, my knowledge on this aspect is very vague. However I have heard that the clinical exposure here is good however the amount of patients coming in is less.
College Events
Every classroom is provided with projectors. Since the explanation requires a lot of diagrams the lectures are conducted via power point presentations. There are few cultural activities conducted here as well. Fresher's day, foundation day, sports day, fest etc are few
