Course Curriculum Overview

This course is not widely known by the students. But the scope for this course is everywhere. The person with good subject and practical knowledge can easily avail a job . The exam timing is 2 hours for 80 marks

Class Size: 4Course Fees: INR 10000 per year

Fees and Financial Aid

Every year has 2 semester . The fees for each semester is 20000 . For SC /ST and first graduates the fees is 15000 which includes tution fees, lab fees , mess fees and all. Scholarship is availed by all the students every year based on their category

Campus Life

Oue college has been conducted various culturals and sports and other extra curricular activities in every academic year. Our college has the best fisheries library all over india with huge number of books

Hostel Facilities

Every room has been provided with fan, tables , cots and chairs for each student. Each room can be accommodated by 3 students. The meal is prepared by hostel mess and the menu is suggested by students only

Hostel Fee: INR 35000 per year

Admission

I had applied for many courses including engineering, medical and all.But finally I choosed this course because of its uniqueness. I didn't reject by any other colleges, I got admission in many colleges but I preferred this one

Faculty

All faculties of the college are well experienced in their subject and experienced in their carrier. Exams are conducted by the college at the end of each semester includes midterm exam , practical exam , final theory exam

Night Life

Our college hostel has seperate gym facilities for girls and boys. The Mess is also separately located with their hostel. We have canteen within our college campus. The students are allowed to outing, hangout for upto 8 pm

After 8th semester the college provides placement,top companies in seafoods make their visits here,nearly 15,000-25,000 is the basic salary of a fisheries graduate per month.iam expecting to join in Mpeda.

If you are talking about the course bachelor of fisheries science then I would say it is not as exposed as the other courses are expose like BSc BTech and so I get to know about the course and my family said me that you should do it then I think I should try it and I have to pursue it so I am here and pursuing it

Admission:

The admissions are based on entrance test that is the ICAR AIEEA UG level exam. After qualifying this exam one has to appear for counselling round to get a seat allotted in the institute. I was allotted a seat in the later rounds of counselling in the institute. Since it the institute is a part of top ranked agricultural University in the state the college is a go to natural choice for student.

The Faculty of Fisheries Sciences and Faculty of Fisheries Engineering offers B.F.Sc. and B.E. courses respectively at the UG level. Intake for B.F.Sc. course is 60 whereas for BE it is 20. Age limit for the programmes is less than 21 years. Admission is conducted on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination.

I had applied for engineering, agri, veterinary and fisheries. I desired to be an veterinarian and my second go to option was engineering. I didn't prefer agri. During counseling process, i couldn't place in the veterinary so i chose engineering in chennai. I studied engineering for 2 months. Then I came to know about the counseling of fisheries stream. When i went to search about fisheries. I was amazed and surprised about this sector. Prior to this i didn't know much about this stream. This made me to discontinue my engineering and made me to purse my career in fisheries. My coutoff was not enough to be an veterinarian (my cutoff -190.5). The admission for fisheries is pretty much similar to agri stream. The eligibile subjects are Maths- biology and pure science groups. The admission process is through counselling. You must have scored 50% in your 12th to be eligible to apply for this stream....Read More
