Remarks

Coaching to be developed. Extra test and exams regarding tnpsc upsc exam is required. Extra time for coaching is required. all the equipment's in the laboratory to be utilised by the students. training to be given.

Course Curriculum Overview

It mainly focus on research. theory + practical. Very easy to learn and concepts are so easy. mark structure also very good. Each semester we have midterm, practical exam and semester exam. but in final year we have training.

Placement Experience

Yes. In private sector, aquaculture industry, processing plant, hatchery etc. After completing final year student can get opportunity in above mentioned sector. Government jobs are also available. Our university will organise interview for us.

Cultural including pongal celebration, fisheries day celebration, fish farmers days celebration, world wet land day celebration, world environment Day celebration etc. functions are fisheries oriented. intercollege events are also there

Fees and Financial Aid

Each semester scholarship was available. It is community scholarship. SC can get more amount than BC. The annual income of the family should be less than 2lakh. It it only for them whose annual income less than 2lakh

Not well developed grounds for sports. well developed laboratory for research facilities. cricket ground are not good, no shuttle ground. No ground for athletic events. No high jump and long jump facilities.

Yes we have our alumni and seniors. they play a vital part in giving or telling information about job opportunities in our country as well as foreign countries. They guide us in a good way that pave way for our future

Admission

I'm interested in biology. After 12th I applied counseling for agriculture engineering veterinary dental and fisheries science. First I called for engineering but I'm not interested. Then after long time I called for fisheries science counseling and I got seat.

In my college, there are professors assistant professors teaching assistant who take classes for UG PG and PhD. They are well experienced and did their post doctoral in foreign countries. Some of them are scientists.

The admissions are based on entrance test that is the ICAR AIEEA UG level exam. After qualifying this exam one has to appear for counselling round to get a seat allotted in the institute. I was allotted a seat in the later rounds of counselling in the institute. Since it the institute is a part of top ranked agricultural University in the state the college is a go to natural choice for student.

The Faculty of Fisheries Sciences and Faculty of Fisheries Engineering offers B.F.Sc. and B.E. courses respectively at the UG level. Intake for B.F.Sc. course is 60 whereas for BE it is 20. Age limit for the programmes is less than 21 years. Admission is conducted on the basis of marks scored in the qualifying examination.

I had applied for engineering, agri, veterinary and fisheries. I desired to be an veterinarian and my second go to option was engineering. I didn't prefer agri. During counseling process, i couldn't place in the veterinary so i chose engineering in chennai. I studied engineering for 2 months. Then I came to know about the counseling of fisheries stream. When i went to search about fisheries. I was amazed and surprised about this sector. Prior to this i didn't know much about this stream. This made me to discontinue my engineering and made me to purse my career in fisheries. My coutoff was not enough to be an veterinarian (my cutoff -190.5). The admission for fisheries is pretty much similar to agri stream. The eligibile subjects are Maths- biology and pure science groups. The admission process is through counselling.
