Course Curriculum Overview

5

Since mostly LLB students at BHU target for judiciary exams. And BHU is known as the factory of judges for north india. Hence there is no question on the relevance of course in the area. But if one has to do litigation then she may prefer DU over BHU. The diffuculty of semester exams is not that much you can crack it even after studying rigorously for 2 weeks before the exams. But the 70% attendance rule is strictly applied here. Hence u will have to take classes compulsorily. Also there is not much gap in start of semester and mid term and final exam. It feels like u always have exams.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fees in our college is a very nominal fee of Rs. 2500 in the 1st year and and now i am in the second year and this year i paid only Rs.1956. So instead of increasing, the course fee decreases. Also there are scholarship opportunities but i have never applied for scholarship under any scheme here.

Campus Life

5

Campus life is great. It is like it is the only place in Varanasi that is left with this much of trees and green environment. There is great opportunity for everyone who is interested in actively participate in various things. Also here we dont have and student elections which is a great relief for most of students and at law faculty, we are so engaged in pur studies that even if there were one we wouldn't wven know. This is what i like the most in Law faculty.

Admission

I have completed my graduation also from BHU in B.Com. so i have not been to any other college to compare my experience with. Also it was always fixed for me that i have to get into BHU only both at the time of graduation and LLB. I had given the CUET exam in 2023 after which i got selected in BHU i had not applied for any other colleges. But at the marks i had gotten, i could have easily gone to any other college. But since i had great experience here at BHU and also for my convenience i got into this college

Faculty

5

The faculty here is very rich in knowledge and also we have a lot of them. The faculty to student ratio is 1 to 50. The course structure is that we are here for 3 years of llb and it is divided in 6 semesters. Every semester ends with a final exam and in between the semester there is a mid term also. The marking scheme in the exam is in the ratio of 70 to 30. Where the semester final exam is of 70 marks written and mid term is of 30 marks that includes 20 marks written and 10 marks for presentation.

Night Life

4

For hostels there are gyming areas within the hostels both for boys hostel and girls hostel. Also canteen mess etc are probided. The famous hangout place here is VT but that closes around 9 pm. The campus is kind of a bhool bhulaiya since all the roads look the same which becomes confusing for people even living here for long. Hence it is surely not for sole wandering. Also after 10 in the night, hostels dont allow to go out in the campus.

Course Curriculum Overview:

LLB course is very beneficial and very earning especially if you are a second generation student. For a first generation for first few years it is somewhat struggling if you want to do litigation.. The course really prepares you well for real life and also it gives you some power to you . Some improvements that can be done in my course in my university is that the subject that is taught in a semester is quite vast in one and quite small in another.Teaching method is quite good . There is mid semester after every two months in a semester and after every five moths there is a semester .

Course Curriculum Overview:

I chose this course as I was really very much interested in studying law and doing something good for society at large. Now, talking about the faculty of this college, then it's really nice and supportive along with great qualifications and practical experience. Student to faculty ratio is approximately 1:20 which is not very bad keeping in mind the sheer experience of faculty members. Term exams are conducted by Lucknow University as the college is affiliated to Lucknow University so it's totally the discretion of LU to take exams usually mid sems exams are conducted between Dec to Jan whereas end sems are conducted between July to August. The difficulty of exams is totally dependent on the paper setters of LU but they are not very tough if you studied well and for those who haven't studied well, it's the toughest.
