What Students Say

Likes

The campus is very good with good green environment and positive vibes
The Faculty here is great with a lot of experienced teachers and PhD scholars
This college provide us placements with good companies

Dislikes

Some students get involved in wrong actions such as alcohol and smoking
We have online class of EVS inspite of coming to college
We get free time in between 2-3 classes which is waste of time I feel

Course Curriculum Overview

I choose this course because of my interest.the curriculum of this course is good here . Faculty here also teaches us perfectly in labs which prepare us well for the real world and practical knowledge is more .

Class Size: 138Course Fees: INR 77250 per year

Internships Opportunities

Different groups are made to provide us internship.Based on one's skill the internship is provided to a person. Different departments have different set of internships for the students to learn and get experience.

Fees and Financial Aid

The fee structure for bsc.(H) Biotechnology is around 1 lakh per annum. We also get scholarship based on our 12th class percentage and sports quota also female child gets around 5% discount in overall fee

Campus Life

I was very introverted but coming here this campus made me to interact alot with people and help me get rid of social anxiety.people here are quite good . A lot of sorts activities are also in concederation like basketball, football, cricket, badminton ???? etc.

Admission

I choose this college because it was one of the best colleges in uttrakhand which provide us variety of activities and exposure. Whereas the admission process is is quite easy you can simply fill the form online and give the gye exam or get admission without exam as well with your 12th percentage .

Faculty

Factualy ratio here is about 1 teacher / 138 students class. Faculties here are very approachable and are friendly in nature. Here the examination occur in a format where it has 10 marks each for one question and we get 5 questions in mid term whereas in end term we get 10 questions to attempt

Night Life

Students often go to the library in campus and gym in the campus as well . The best spot to sit here for me is fountain area which is quite good to get rid of the tension and feel relieved .some of the local street food here is gupta burger, sangeeta momos and tamang momos

Other Applied Colleges

Graphic Era University - [GEU] | Bachelor of Science [B.Sc] {Hons.} (Biotechnology)

It is one of the best colleges in uttrakhand with more opportunities and great campus placements and environment

Being a government college the fees are very low and student friendly most teachers are knowledgeable supportive and clear in explanation focus on studies exam and all over all discipline
Open ground greenery and enough space to relax between classes decent collection of academic books and difference material
Easy to reach from different part of Haldwani lesson unnecessary pressure more focus on its education

Dislikes

Infrastructure is old type som building needs to get repair
Campus placement opportunity are very few from classroom slabs and building need renovation
Not many model amenties compared to private colleges office works can be slow

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum follows kumaun University guidelines ensure standardization and recognition core subjects are well structured and concept curriculum should a include more practical exposure projects work and field work examination are conducted semester wise and generally twice year internal assessments include test assignments and practicals during the semester

Doon University Review

Likes

Social life is good with feat happening around in college.
Wifi is provided in our building and the hostel.
Infrastructure of our new hostel and our labs is good

Dislikes

Teachers are qualified but the quality education is not good
Too much restriction on girls but boys are free to roam at night.
Mess food is just acceptable not that good.

Placement Experience:

For campus placement students need to be atleast in last or second last semester of the course. But for internship it's fine even if student is in 1st or 2nd yr. But most of teh students here decided to pursue master from here only and I still don't know have exact idea hown many students got placed in th companies.

College Journey

Likes

Discipline in our college is too good, among students as well as teachers
In our college, children are taught different beneficial activities.
Our college also teaches well, all lectures are on time.

Dislikes

Since it is a government College, politics also goes on in the college at some places which causes trouble.
The exams are very tough which all the students have problem with and they also check it strictly.
Placements cost only 1 or 2%, nothing else.

Course Curriculum Overview:

I am preparing for a government job, so I took admission in this course just to get a graduation degree and not for any other reason. There should be some improvement in the lab and also in the exam pattern. The timing of our exam is 2:30 hours which is less time because the exam is lengthy.
