Course Curriculum Overview

5

I felt like the course curriculum was designed in such a way that you can easily crack some of the national entrance exams right away. Of course you have to do self study and all but the way course is designed it makes it somewhat more easier. Other than that some papers were tough for example our sir of cell biology used to make very tough question paper while most of the professors copy previour year questions. It usually depends how much a certain student had studied and vice versa for the difficulty.

Fees and Financial Aid

The admission fee was 5000 something and after that you have to pay semester fee per semester which never exceeded above 7000max. So for one year the fee was 12000 something. The fee i just stated is including everything ie caution fee lab fees and all. Other than that there are scholarships that students having minority certificate (SC/ST/OBC) the amount i have no idea and another scholarship is that one which the first two toppers will get two times ie 1 scholarship in first year and 2nd in second year. Since i was the second topper of my batch so i got 2000 rs scholarship each year.

Campus Life

5

Well, I didn't have that much social life, other than taking classes in my department. After taking classes, I would usually go to the library and I would spend the rest of my day in the library, so for me, even after staying in the library all day, I felt like my whole experience was very nice, and I even stayed Hostel. it was very nice for me

Admission

so I already got my admission and Central University of Haryana, but in the midway of admission in Central University, I Got my admission in Delhi University so I compare that of course Delhi University is better than Central University on the basis of that I chose University and the other reason of choosing the University Was that the total number of seats were only 15 in Delhi University, so I thought that the less number of seats there are there are very much less chances of other people to get into that course. So I felt like this is a good choice and it has been proven to be that taking Delhi University was a good choice. Since now people are recruiting me and giving me Phd degree offers and all on the basis of when they see that I have my degree from Delhi University South campus, as well as I have also secured 8+ CGPA in my masters, so that's it

Faculty

5

The faculty to student ratio was on point for our department. Since the seats were 15 only, the students got one on one interaction with the teachers. All the faculty members were very welcoming and trust me they are very understanding. When i first got there, i was in awe of everything. The classes were so furnished it was such a nice experience. Talking about exams there were 4 semester ie 2 years total. The exams were moderate not so easy and not so tough too. The 4th semester is only research ie dissertation. During this period no classes are held and a student has to do lab work and write thesis. The 4th semester was of six months and we had to complete our thesis within the specific time range. For marking of this dissertation period the viva was taken regarding your dissertation topic and total cgpa was given on the basis of your work done.

Night Life

5

Well, I stayed in Geethanjali Hostel, which was in the campus of Delhi University and in the night time, there was a restriction that after 10 PM, nobody is allowed to go outside and and attendance has been taken at 10 PM. So like of all the girls, they were written in this register They had that the girl is present in the hostel only, but during the first year it was it was as such that we can write an application from our parents and get it signed by the department and we can take an extension for the night so for me, I did take an extension in the most of the night. I would stay in the library and I used to study during exam days, of course. but for boys, there was no such restriction . They were allowed to go anywhere at any time they want. even though I used to come at around midnight to my Hostel, but still, I didn't felt like I was unsafe at that campus. I always felt safe and for me. The campus was very nice in the day also and the night also.

I have enjoyed my Masters at this college. It was a good experience studying here. The faculty was humble skilled and polite that I have faced no major issue in any subject. The library was having enough books related to subjects and also outside the syllabus. Overall experience was quite good in Dr B.R. Ambedkar Center for Biomedical Research.

Positive thing is that faculty and department is very good. Campus is so good and clean. More importantly, in delhi to get such a beautiful campus is totally a bliss. Negitive thing is that politics is included in every thing.

I appeared for an entrance exam which was organized by the institute themselves. The entrance exam was basic but I was nervous about the interview. My interview lasted for almost half an hour and then I was finally granted admission.

ISI life is definitely a colourful one. You will have your study pressure, but besides that it will offer you to live independently. You can participate in various sports and cultural activity. And I can surely tell you, no other institute offer such low investment in education with big returns, be it grabbing a handsome package in a big corporate or reputed university in USA or Europe.
