Course Curriculum Overview

3

One of the reasons I chose this course was it focuses on today's trend of industrial standards. And the course curriculum also included practical lab sessions, and project-based learning and also gave internship opportunities. You can also select your interested domain as electives starting from 2nd year. The curriculum does a good job of preparing me for real-world applications, particularly the lab sessions and projects that helped me gain more knowledge to solve practical problems. There are areas where the curriculum should be more aligned with real-world requirements. For example, the fundamentals are covered well. Some content feels outdated. The teaching methods also should be updated like using more practical ways of teaching in classes. Exams are conducted twice a semester including midsem and endsem exams and quizzes also conducted twice a semester. The difficulty level will increase starting from 2nd year as there will be more core-related subjects and more courses in a semester so exams will be and you will get less time to prepare.

Internships Opportunities

5

Many companies offered internships for students like Accenture, Goldman Sachs, and techjapan companies. Accenture visited the campus and offered the internship for 70-80 students with a stipend of20000-30000 per month.

Placement Experience

5

From the 7th semester, the students are eligible for campus placements But from the 5th semester, students are eligible for internships. Many companies visited campus for campus placements, like Accenture, Nvidia, PayPal, AMD, etc. The highest package up to now this year is 34lpa. For last year, the highest package was 120lpa, and the average was 17lpa. 90 Percent of students are placed through campus placements. I plan to do higher studies by taking the gate exam.

Fees and Financial Aid

During my university experience as a General category student, I observed significant differences in the fee structure across various categories. For my admission, I paid a one-time fee of Rs 15,500, which included charges for admission, grade cards, provisional certificates, career development funds, caution money (refundable), and other compulsory items. Each semester, I paid 7,500 as academic fees, which covered gymkhana, examination, registration, medical insurance, and internet charges. Additionally, my tuition fee was 71,750, and the hostel fee was 11,000, bringing the total semester cost to 82,750. A mess advance of Rs 15,000 per semester was also mandatory. With 8 semesters in total, my overall expenditure for tuition fees, academic fees, and hostel charges amounted to 6,84,500 (15,500 one-time Plus 82,750 into 8 semesters plus 15,000 mess advance into 8 semesters = 8,04,500, including mess charges). In comparison, my friends from the SC/ST/PWD categories were exempted from tuition fees, reducing their total semester fee (including hostel charges) to 11,000. Over 8 semesters, their total expenditure was approximately 2,04,000 (15,500 one-time + 11,000 × 8 semesters + 15,000 mess advance × 8 semesters = 2,24,000, including mess charges). There will be a merit cum need scholarship for that student whose family income will be less than 8 lakhs per year and up to the top 10 Percent of students will get this scholarship for every discipline. In this scholarship, only the total tuition fee will be received and an extra 12,000. There will be an NSP scholarship for SC, and ST students and a single parent scholarship for those students who have a single parent and income of less than 8 lakhs per year.

Campus Life

4

My overall experience with campus life is been vibrant and enriching, I also enjoy my campus life here in this campus by engaging in social interactions. Here on this campus, the cultural fest will be held every month by every cultural club and you can expect very much fun. And every year there will tech fest also conducted in March/April. The library is one of the most resourceful places in the college. There are many books available for your academic and also you can get research journals. The library is a very helpful place and is accessible for very long hours starting from 8 in the morning to 8 in the night. Here every classroom is fitted will a projector which will be accessible at all times for the faculty when teaching and there will be central AC in the classrooms and labs. This campus has many sports clubs and facilities. Here all clubs are run by students and are monitored by a faculty. On campus, there is a cricket ground, and on the football ground, volleyball, basketball, tennis, and badminton courts are available for sports club members.

Hostel Facilities

5

Here on this campus, there will be separate hostels for Evaru year students. And for first year students there will be 4 members per room and for 2nd year students 3 members per room. From 3rd year onwards single room will be provided for students. For PhD and mtech students also single room is provided. The above is for boys' hostels For girls 1st year and 4th year students will be in a hostel and 2nd and 3rd will be in one hostel. Here every hostel has its canteen. The meal quality of the mess here is average. The mess has two options one is veg and another in non veg. Hostel registration is done same day of the admission process and every year the hostel will be changed.

Admission

I came in through Jossa Counseling first I didn't choose this college but IT Guwahati because for my rank of jee mains, I will get that easily, and also that campus is presented in IIT Guwahati so I am very much likely applying for that but then I am heard about my present collage which is having very high placements as compared to IT Guwahati and the placement packages of 40 LPA for 40 students and so I decided to join this campus. So In the Josaa counseling, I changed the order and put Iiitdm Jabalpur, Ece as the first choice and then next IT Guwahati, Ece. But for the first 5 rounds of counseling I didn't get into this college but then in I 6th final round I got a seat in IIITDM Jabalpur. The admission process to get a seat in this college is through josaa counseling through jee mains marks. The eligibility for this college is based on jee mains rank. For CSE:7,000-13,707 For ECE:14,000-20,861 For ME: 33990-42704 For SM: 39419-46924 The above is the range of ranks eligible for getting a seat in this college in 2022 for the general category. So you can refer to the cutoff for more information regarding eligible jee mains rank. The admission process is very neat and the required documents that are to be submitted on the day of admission are mentioned on the college website you can refer to them.

Faculty

4

The faculty-to-student ratio will be 1:40, Here the faculty is very much approachable, and the faculty also likes to solve students' problems not only regarding academics but also collage day-to-day problems. I don't want to mention the faculty name but there are some faculty I like because their explanation skills are very good and you can easily understand the topics and there very approachable for asking doubts. But I didn't like some faculty because they didn't even use the board while explaining in classes. For every semester there will be 2 quizzes,1 mid-semester sem exam, and 1 end sem exam. The difficulty of the papers depends on the faculty that are teaching some will give difficult papers and some will give moderate papers. So the overall difficulty will be moderate. Grades are given based on relative grading so not all the time the grades depend on your marks but overall class average. There will be some faculty who give absolute grading but their papers will be easy. There are 5-10 students every year who are expected to fail because they will not come to class and if their attendance doesn't reach up to 75 Percent then their course will be dropped.

Interview Experience

5

No there will be no group discussion or any other interview. The only selection process is through Jee's main exam ranking. After the Jee mains ranking in Josaa counseling, you have to get a seat in this college and your rank should be in the cutoff.

Night Life

4

Here the night of the campus is very cool and cozy as the campus is fully surrounded by forest and you have to be also careful because the snakes appear on the campus. Here the gums are available for the students in early mornings and at Evenings. Every hostel has there separate cafeteria. Every student must be present in the hostel at night time after 10:30 pm The hostel closing time is 10:30 pm. In winter times the outside is very cold so you must prepare your cold measures .

I would rate the course curriculum as quite relevant and well-structured. Most subjects are updated according to current industry needs. The faculty also puts effort into explaining topics with practical examples instead of just theory which I genuinely appreciate for there hard work The curriculum covers both core concepts and modern technologies which actually helps in preparing for internships and further needs and i choose Artificial intelligence because it is latest and the future is in ai and everyone somewhere related to artificial intelligence and so i decided this course for my furture safe and good future
