The course curriculum for user interface is very archaic and underdeveloped in SID. A lot of what we are taught is from youtube videos and regurgitation from online courses. Max to max you get opportunities here to meet creative people like minded and faculty that encourages perfection.

year wise fees is 5lakhs For 4 years bachelor's degree in UX design I had to pay 20lakhs Plus 5000rs. For backlog in each course. Lab fees is additional 20000 per year for using our ux lab and tuition fees is not included.

Symbiosis social life is top notch. If you can balance studies then here you have people from all over India and abroad, young and driven creatively who have something or the other fun ways to socialize and find your own crowd. Pune is a very student friendly city. SID also has clubs that help you excel academically in creating a well rounded professional personality and portfolio. Documentation Club, Alumni and Public Relations, Organising Festivals all require students that participate and work together to bring to life FUNDAMENTALS, our college festival that helps students socialize and be involved in a driven college life.

Hostel Facility is not bad. The aminities are adequate but the food and administration sucks. Management is slow and rude. The cleaning and security staff are nice. Meal quality is a serious downgrade if you are expecting home food quality then no. And there have been numerous food sanitary issues in the hostel. Rent is 30000 per month roughly depending on the size of the room in boy's hostel

I chose this college over other colleges because of the Symbiosis connections to alumni and faculty who have connections to professionals in the business sand tech sector. Pune is also a city that encourages youth and creativity which gives designers the opportunity to display work with confidence. Symbiosis also has many other colleges so the intra college elective programs in which we can learn subjects such as economic and marketing as our elective subjects and external faculties from other symbiosis institutes are assigned to teach.

Faculty members are under qualified for their job from a teaching point of view. They are also not upto date with UIUX of today and focus mostly on User Research papers and how to get that validated and published. We don't have exams and each course is marked and last on an average two weeks. One course at one time and at the end of each sem there is an External Jury to which we are made to present our projects.

Pune has an active nightlife. Clubs, Gyms, Cafes, Libraries are open till 1 in the morning while there are also 24x7 shops for medicine and groceries. Nearby to the college is also a market for fresh produce that opens every Wednesday.
