No there are no negative remarks everything goed well in our college. it is the best campus to study i swear . It offers a healthy environment to enjoy our college life in all aspects .It offers good academic and extra curricular support

Course Curriculum Overview

The course is Btech having a duration of 4 years.There are 2 internal exams along with an end semester exam.The duration of each semester is about 6 months.After each year there is a holiday of 1 month.

Placement Experience

There are lots of placements in our college. They range from multinational companies like Tcs,Tata to even smaller companies that offer good salary packages . Internships are usually not provided by the college .

Arts day is the most astonishing event in our college. Similarly we have college day where we dress up with similar clothes and enjoy. Then we have sports, Onam celebration, christmas celebrations .moreover holi is an important part

Fee Structure And Facilities

Its almost feesible . Being a government colege it follows their fees structure. There are three categories Tution fee waiver having 1000 rs fees State merit having 35000 rs fees And management with 65000 rs

Fees and Financial Aid

I recieve Aicte fee waiver scholarships. there are many such scholardhips available in the college and many of them do recieve it . Many scholarshop schemes are available for students with good academic results.

Campus Life

Extracurricular activities include cricket football volleyball. there is amusic club arts club forest club ieee iedc proddec and many other clubs that are aimef to improve The exrracurricular toucj of our stidents

Hostel Facilities

The hostel facilities are also quite good .There are fpods that include vegetarians and non vegetarians .some rooms will havr around 4 to 5 students. Preference is given to offer good food to the inmates.

External Expense: Rs.7000 - Rs.10000

Alumni/Alumna

There is a good alumini organisatuon they provide great suppory towards development of our college. Most of them.are in good positions .once in a year there will be an alumini meet in our college.They are the backbone of our college

The faculity seems to be good.They range from senior faculty to guest lucturers .The teaching is quite good.They prepare standard questions for internal evaluation.some of the guest lecturers are excellaebt teachers.

Experiences so far

Likes

My experience at lissah has been mixing of challenges. Psychology depart has supportive teachers and classes is good
Campus is peaceful and it’s so greenery there are opportunities to take part in different academics
I also like that the psychology department has its own lab and practical exposure and Lissah is well known for psychology itself

Dislikes

I feel that there could be more programmes activities and opportunities for students to make college life
Location could feel like quiet and it’s not in town area
Those who prefer more active atmosphere I would not recommend here

I chose bsc psychology because I was interested in understanding human behaviour. The curriculum covers different areas of psychology along with subjects such as major psychology minor statistics and physiology then English mdc . Since I am still in my first year I have only experienced the initial part of course

Faculties are good. Most them are very friendly
Class rooms and canteen are also good. Not the best
Fees are very low comparing to other collages

Dislikes

Not giving good placements. Only 1 or 2 good companies good. Others are average
I'm not interested hostel. But my friends in hostel always saying that the food is not good.
Some faculties are not treat all the students equal. Not every only some

Placement Experience:

Placement are not the best. But EY , federal bank, TCS are some the prominent companies that are coming. The negative thing about placement is most of them are offering marking jobs. So if you are someone who is interested in operations this is not the collage you want to in.

Likes

Decent infrastructure. hostel infrastructure is also clean and better than most colleges

Dislikes

Very poor campus life. No importance for cultural programmes and activities
Very poor and degrading environment for women. Faculties and other staff are very judgemental.
Very low packages for average students. Placement training is regularly being provided, but it is too hectic to be managed along with curriculum.

Placement Experience:

students become eligible for placements after sixth semester. Major companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, e.t.c are recruiters. about 5-10 students are recuited on average by these companies. highest package was offered by south indian bank in 2023 (10 LPA). average packges are around 2 to 3 LPA.

We have a very good faculty family that is not only supportive but also loving.

Placement Experience:

From the seventh semester we are eligible for the placements. They provide placement training sessions in the college itself. Computer Science department has almost hundred percent placements. Also there is mtech in the college if you prefer higher studies.

TIST , Great college , fun events and more

Likes

Our seniors passed out with flying colors joining different companies or starting their own. There's a good focus on peer learning and student communities which is pretty nice. Canteen food is decent and labs are great
Most people and professors are friendly and they encourage you to try out new things.

Dislikes

Hostel water , busses are pretty fast. Sometimes roads are a bitt rough

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is under KTU syllubus do it's fine. There is a change in curriculum coming 2024 which i assume would make a lot of good changes. The curriculum gives you a head start For most of your work, you need to on your own but the faculty is there to help. The frequency of exams is weekly tests + monthly exams. Its not too difficult of an exam.

Likes

I feel like staffs in my department are pretty good, atleast they fullfill their duties to cover the portions in right time
We have placements training, offered free of cost by college itself
Notes and necessary materials for studying are provided from college itself, and most teachers don't force on buying textbooks or other materials

Dislikes

College is located in aarakunnam, which is a bit remote area hence for various needs we often need to travel a few kilometres even for basic necessities
The road to collage entrance is a steep road, and currently it's under construction (it's been a yr)
Students are required to park their vehicles outside the college, as there is no parking facilities for students inside campus

Placement Experience:

Currently placements are bit low, due to inflation, but compared to other colleges like KMEA, etc we have better placements similar to Muthoot and all. We have placement training, and other supports which can help us crack aptitude exams and prepare for placements Almost 70-80% students are placed every year, with an avg package of 4LPA

After 6 th semester students become eligible for placements . It's in the final years . Many companies have visited the college and made offers for the students like Wipro,Tenzo tech , infopark etc Around 70 Percent students get placement

When it comes to the campus life, I enjoyed all the 4 years
The infrastructure was okayish Could've improved.
The faculty was really friendly and I was able to approach them without any hesitation.

Dislikes

The road from the junction to the college is not at all maintained. Students coming up the hill find it very difficult to reach college
The bus fees are increased every year. But these people can't find a way to provide seats for the students after paying their bus fee.
Some other campus offer many varieties of food in their canteen. This has to be done here too

Placement Experience:

The students usually start appearing for campus placements in their 6th semester. The training for the campus placements is started for all the students from the 4th semester. Many companies visited for campus placements. But one main problem is that most of them were low packages. Around 4LPA. Some were between 4-6 and a very few between 6-10. Most of them got placed in our batch in some company.

Yeah well, positive things are there. I got many friends. I got a degree. I learned much personal and professional knowledge. I also learned how to live independently for 4 years without parents alone somewhere.

Firstly I had applied for numerous colleges ranking from college of engineering Trivandrum to Rajahiri college, even though my KEAM rank was around 13k I did not have the scope of getting into ourely government colleges, then was the possibility of going into IHRD colleges and least ranked government colleges and the private colleges, but studying for 12 years in a private college made me think otherwise, then I had the option of the IHRD and least cutoff ranked government colleges, during my first allotment I got intro this college but under electronics department later during the second allotment it changed to computer science department and same suring the third allotment, this college is about two hours away from my hometown, and reachable by train, the other factors were this college was highly recommended by my cousin aunt who is a professor in model engineering college Thrikkakara....Read More

Excellent place for your future journey

Since I don't attend the Keam exam I opt to have an NRI quota.. For NRI Quota there's some process you have to submit the details of the sponsor and your marks in plus2 like physics chemistry marks should be a minimum of 75%..In a class, only 4 NRI quota is allowed..There was no any other counseling the four-person with selected criteria will have the admission based on marks.. if there is another guy they will be in the waiting list.At the age of 18 started Carrier in this college...Read More

Too small to be called actually. The college even though placed athe heart of Chengannur town is very small in area.
