Course Curriculum Overview

4

The course is relevant enough and from the coming semesters one also get's to choose from the various electives offered by the department Exams are conducted in May and December every year and it's of 70 makrs rest are internal (25 for assignment and test and 5 for attendance)

Internships Opportunities

4

After the orientation everyone is placed with an organisation where we have to go for Wednesday and Thursdays every week so we get good practical experience before getting placed, and after the end of 1st year we also go for block placements for 1 month (compulsory for all)

Placement Experience

4

Placement are great, the department offers 100% placement, avg would be around 7 lpa, many great companies come to hire from the campus such as govt PSU, state govt livelihood companies (Bihar jeevika etc), MNC also come such as Tata power, KPMG, IFFCO etc

Fees and Financial Aid

Around 20k per year, there are many scholarships available in DU such as Dean welfare scholarship, vc scholarship and you can apply for external scholarships as well fir eg - National scholarship portal (NSP)

Campus Life

3

Campus life inside the college is not that good as the campus is very small and we only have one course so there not many students around, some clubs and societies are present but not very active apart from the placement cell but life outside the campus is good as it is located in the North campus area

Admission

DSSW comes second in India for MSW course, the first one is TISS so if you're getting admission in TISS you should give it the first preference as it is the best college for MSW and it also offers multiple specialization of MSW (before starting the course)

Faculty

4

Teachers are accessible, the student teach ratio is much better as compared to other du colleges All the faculties are well accomplished with both academic and on ground experience The curriculum is relevant enough, people don't score very high marks here

Night Life

3

Library is available and it's open from Monday to Friday, there is a small canteen inside the campus where you can eat or you can go nearby to pandit ji canteen (people usually go there), you can come and go anytime from the hostel

Course Curriculum Overview:

The curriculum in particular is quite vast and extended in all the positive implications. They have included Marginalized Studies which covers Dalit Literature, then there is Disable Studies, Post Colonial Studies. The curriculum is very rich and with the best faculties you can easily crack your NET if you study linenantly

The course was quite helpful as side by side, I have planned for the preparation of competitive exams and prepared well for both the university and competitive exams. The exam timing and frequency was comfortable as it was held annually and was able to give the good shot.

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is very less. Jamia have outdated syllabus for Psychology. There is only a specialization comes in the third semester. But the compulsory two montha field work internshipnte is effective. It is a beginning for the preparation for us for the real world applications. But in Jamia we have many time for preparing for other competitive examinations for higher studies. Exams and teaching methods are good.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doing master in political science was the obvious choice for me because I have done my graduation in political science and if you are talking about the academics pursuit in this field you can how to do PHD after Clearing your net exam but there will be no other Job opportunity you will get in this course. The only scope you have that you can prepare for upsc or other government exams. Otherwise, if you are from engineering background that is, you have done your graduation from engineering then definitely you should opt further in this field only.

Remarks:

According to me, coming to JNU has been an life-altering experience for me. It has taught to embrace people from different backgrounds equally and also lended me the confidence to speak out my mind, even when it is not a popular opinion, whenever I want to. Also, the freedom of personal space that one can enjoy in this campus, without falling prey to any judgement, is also very inspiring and motivating.

Remarks:

SAU is good in faculty and curriculum but its not good in facilities. Sau don't have any good campus. It feels like that one is coming in an institute to attend classes. Despite having great fees i.e. almost 30k per semester they provide us with zero facilities. Its a place for hostllers. Students coming from other states can find this place heaven. But for day scholars like me its like a punishment. I don't feel like going to college as you are excluded. Either they should have hostels for everyone or they should have other facilities.
