Likes

I liked the clubs, teaching methods, project based learning and the grading system.
Also, I kiked the fact that there's no ragging allowed in college.
The seniors are friendly and guide you at every step.

Dislikes

I didn't like the campus as it is small compared to other colleges.
I didn't like the parking space as it's very crowded
The number of holidays are sometimes reduced too.

Course Curriculum Overview

The courses in college are highly effective and up-to-date compared to other colleges. Also online resources are provided often for better understanding of the subject. It helps to get the clear understanding of subject.

Internships Opportunities

There are several companies that offer amazing internship opportunities at college. To name a few are nvdia, morgan stanley, mahindra, whirlpool, philips, and many more top brands. They pay good stipend during the Internship ranging from 10k to 80k. This makes your placement process easier. Also this helps you to make your resume stronger. Even these internships are converted into full time opportunities if you perform well.

Placement Experience

The placements in VIT are taken care properly. All students are placed till the end of there degree, and the college takes care of this. The highest package is 45lpa and lowest is 3.5lpa. But the average is 9-10lpa.

Fees and Financial Aid

So the total fees for every year is 190000 INR. For SC/ST candidates it is 4000 INR. For OBC it's 110000. And for EWS it is 30000. There are no scholarships provided in the college. However, some students opt for education loans.

Campus Life

The campus life at VIT is the best. You are part of an active network through college clubs. Seniors guide you in various opportunities and provide valuable insights. All this helps in soft skills improvement. Also, sports and extra curricular activities are taken into consideration properly, and interested students are given enough opportunities.

Admission

So, i wasn't able to score more in my CET exam so i got this college. However, in this college I'm receiving proper education and all-round facilities. The admission process was easy as it was through cap round.

Faculty

The faculty is highly qualified and focuses on overall development of students. Every subject is taught with a project focused learning. The grading for end sem exams is based upon viva, project review, assignments, written exam and lab exam.

Night Life

So, there's no actual night life at college as the campus is smaller. But, during events the night life is lit. Everyone dresses their best and celebrates to the fullest during events. Event execution committee organzies good events and everyone enjoys them.

As out batch is of 2024 Covid batch there has been no such placement occurred but after that the ratio has increased

Life of a mech_engineer at VJTI

Course Curriculum Overview:

The part of the curriculum that inspired me to take up this course is definitely applied mathematics as engineering has a lot of math integrated in it and helps the student to improve his/her logic and problem solving skills which are very important in today's job market. Some areas where I'd like the syllabus to improve are NEP related subjects like PPS, Indian Knowledge System etc. These courses are not related to the major but are included because of the New Education Policy(NEP). I feel that most of these courses are a complete waste of time and can be replaced by better courses.

Reality of VIT, Pune

I had applied for COEP technological University, PCCOE Pimpri, and VJTI. I got confirmed addmissions in PCCOE for mechanical course , COEP for metallurgy and VJTI for textile industry. At the last, I took addmission in VIT mechanical. VIT, Pune has good nirf rankings and rather than opting for branches like metallurgy and textile industry I choose mechanical. And between pccoe and vit I choose Vit. Vit accepts admission through cet and jee mains. Also dor dsy students it accpets through cet exam. Cutoff changes every year has been increasing as number of participants has increased. Overall, after the allotment of the college it took 3 hours to take addmission. It could be less if you have alll required documents and fees has been already paid using mean like dd....Read More
