Likes
- The things I liked in our college is our faculty, sports and the girls to boys ratio in our class is 4:6 in Computer Science and Data Science.
- The Cricket ground is my favourite but you have to get selected in our college cricket team to play in that ground.
- The stone zone is good and the quality of food they provide is also nice offers a variety of thickshakes and icecreams.
Dislikes
- Auditorium is the worst part of our college.
- The cafeteria is the below average thing which provides low quality food.
- Our campus is non wi-fi campus and the network is also very low.
Course Curriculum Overview
The curriculum included all the subjects that help us to avail the job opportunities in the market and help us to cope up with the real life problems. If the college had provided more practical experience of data science tools, then it would have been much better.
Placement Experience
From 3rd year 2nd semester, we become eligible for campus placements and simultaneously placement training is available and you have to pay for placement that was 15,000 at the time of my placements. The companies that attended our college are Amazon, Realpage, TCS, Tech mahindra, Accenture and many more. The number of offers made during the recession were more than 700. The highest package was offered by commvault which was 33 lakhs per annum and the average package is 4.5 lakhs per annum.
Fees and Financial Aid
The year wise fees to be paid is 1,15,000 per annum but I paid 0 because I was selected for complete fee reimbursement since I have secured below 10,000 and our annual income is below 2 lakhs. The way to get into our college is to secure a good eamcet rank and scholarships will be provided according to your reservation category.
Campus Life
The names of the fests held in our college are ciencia(every march or april), traditional day, DJ night and etc. We have a very good library that has a vast collection of books and journals which are required and covers all the books that are specified in our curriculum. The faculty is above average but the technological provisions within the classrooms are below average. The sports facilities are good and you are allowed to play from 3 pm to 6 pm after the college hours.
Admission
I applied for JNTU, OU, CBIT, VNR and CVR, GRRR and I got admission in CVR college. I got this college based on my eamcet score and I got a rejection from other colleges and the rank I got could not get me into those colleges under CSE department. The eligibility exam that is accepted by our college is eamcet and the rank below 10000 could get you into our college.
Faculty
The faculty-to-student ratio is 1:60. The faculty is very friendly towards students and are ready to solve the doubts of the students anytime. The faculty members I personally liked are sujan sir, K V Ravikumar sir because of the knowledge they have towards the subject and their way of explaining the concepts. The faculty I didn't like was our web development teacher who did not have any knowledge and was just presenting the ppt. The mid and sem exams are easy to pass even if you study one night before the exam.
Night Life
No nightlife activities are encouraged and gym is available but you have to pay for it. Hostel students are not allowed to go out after 6 pm and are allowed to go outside only with the permission of parents and required authorities.
