Likes
- You get study material in hand printed which is very beneficial for students who are also pursuing upsc and otter competetive exams, but if talked about vast info that is available in regular courses, that's something universty needs working on with.
- There's isn't much interaction as it is a open university but the university campus has a very pleasant natural habitat. For introverts they might like the surroundings. But overall my engagement personally is less.
- All you get there is knowledge that too is theoritical 90% and practical for fewer course. Regional centres and study centre do provide with lot of help. Giving exams is very easy as exam centres are always close by.
Dislikes
- No practical bases knowledge and faculty lacks.
- Improvements like more staying in In touch with the student.
- Information that is provided in the textbooks is less compared to regular colleges
Course Curriculum Overview
As there are no practical classes It is always difficult to clear out doubts, but in case a student has any doubts on sunday, they can go to the college from 11am - 2p m.and clear their doubts to the available teachers, faculty members.
Fees and Financial Aid
My experience at ignou ?7000/year fee for masters in philosophy has been somewhat okay as its open learning. Anybody above 50% can apply for this course. It's good for students who are currently pursing regular courses and wanna enhance their knowledge. But as u rarely get physical classes it is not worth it .
Campus Life
I never really participated in any activities or extracurricular activities at ignou. But if we talk about things and there are technological facilities and other facilities like textbooks, they are provided well to the students. Even the accessibilities of books and library are free for igu students if they want to visit.
Admission
The reason why I chose this college was this university as I was also doing masters in journalism from regular college and I was also interested in masters in philosophy so on knowledge basis, I wanted to apply for this new course which would help me satisfy my urge for learning.
Faculty
Students in my course, masters in philosophy are very less compared to other courses, as it's a cause that can only help you with education, or if you want to apply for a net jrf or professor our further. Giving exams and an examination centers is very easy .As the study centers and examination center that are allotted to us are nearby.
Night Life
There are many different study centers at igno, and according to the study center. Like I had balls in college environment is very, very peaceful and if you go there, especially on sundays you want to see lot of rush as students on there, but the whole energy is very lighting .
