Course Curriculum Overview

4

Our syllabus is based on Calicut University.Since our college is affiliated to it . Our core subject is geology which is very much easy to learn . We are forced to study complimentary subjects such as physics and chemistry. Also it's laboratory application is mandatory.

Internships Opportunities

2

Our college provides internship opportunities. Those who students persuing in third year has opportunity to get internship. Many banking companies like HDFC, ICICI , CSB banks are offering internship with very low stipend.

Placement Experience

3

Our college have strong placement cell which is very active at all time . It is mostly based on banks like HDFC, AXIS, ICICI banks etc.. and CMI institutions. The average package is about 400000 per annum. Those students who passed all examination without any backlogs are only eligible for campus interview.

Fees and Financial Aid

Our college provides merit based seats as well as management seats for geology self financing student. For merit based general students it's 30000 INR and for SC/ST/OEC students it's about 10000 INR per year .For management students it's 50000.Based on the yearly performance the amount may change for some students

Campus Life

3

Our college conducts Arts and Sports day at every year . We also competes at university level and championships .Our college consist of several student societies such as CSA, KOTTAKA( FILM CLUB ), TAVANISH , NSS , NCC etc..

Hostel Facilities

2

Our Hostel Warden is not friendly towards hosteliltes . Boy'sand Girl's have seperate hostel arrangements. And for boys hostel, the food and sanitary facilities are pathetic. Food menu provides both Veg and Non Veg foods . Each room contains two people and provide necessary conditions for them including study table and bed .

Admission

Since our college is autonomous, it provides examination and publishes results on their own perspective which is very much helpful unlike other private colleges. Our college provides admission based on class 12 marks and anybody who is eligible can apply it on our college site. Admission process is very simple and smooth .

Faculty

3

Our colleges core feature is highly qualified and experienced teachers . But some are really aggressive towards students. Especially a teacher of the geology department shows a revengefull attitude towards some of the students. Some teachers are really helpful and shows gratitude towards students .

Night Life

3

Night life is very pathetic. We have strict rules and regulations in our hostel that students should return back to hostel at 7pm which is very irritating for students . Our college has fully functional gym with almost every equipments are available.

I choosed this degree for me to pursue higher studies in uk or foreign country to study cosmetics related field. So for that bsc chemistry degree must have But this curriculum doesn't teach something base to that I think so.. For further studies the teachers need improvement to teach certain topics some teachers didn't even prepare to study students and lab safety is not in the lab.Because of the teaching the portions are done in last minutes and often exams are difficult in major subjects so they need to improve their study methods and often approach students nicely..

Course Curriculum Overview:

Course curriculum is almost best. Curriculum doesn't influenced me in deciding this course. Curriculum should add internships. Currently there is no mandatory internship, if students are interested they can do internship during vacations. As we are learning psychology which need to be practiced in real world settings, curriculum must include real world training to help students understand things more effectively. Currently intervel between exams are non existent. Internal exams, then semester exams, you blink once, next internal exams, followed by semester exams. Syllabus is understandable, can learn if you try. Exams are also manageable. Real world examples and stories can be included in teaching methods, as psychology is related to humans and human interaction, to get better grasp of concepts. Rather than focusing on passing exam, should focus on the concepts and understand them in-depth. There are a lot of theories to study by heart. And there are many repetitive topics that overlap, but in different semesters.

I feel in love with mathematics in plus two time. The coursee are more application based when compared to other. Out college being an autonomous college has good grip to keep up to the level of good education. Overall teaching methods and syllabus are very good. Frequency of exams are troublesome during the last time of year because all the programmes like youth festival annual day etc come together

My course is Bsc Biotechnology. It is a research associated course. Its main scope is in research. But in every industry let it be medical or industrial a biotechnologist is required. I would like more practical knowledge than theory knowledge in this course as it is needed to be implemented in labs hands on experience is essential. Exams are conducted every 6 months as semester. Class tests and model exams are conducted frequently. Assignments, projects, seminar ,etc.. are given every month.

I chose Bsc electronics, it has an attractive curriculum and some of them are influenced me in some way. The facilities are well-known about the curriculum preparing and all. The current curriculum is good but it needs some changes. Include more practicals is one of my suggestion. Teaching methods are good it doesn't need any change. Exams are conducted by Kerala University, so the college can't do anything in main exams but the college will complete all the portions before the exam date it is sure.
