the first year they teach you physics, mathematics and chemistry which has some relevance to the topics in successive years. the programming in c lab is fun and interactive. the curriculum from second year makes you deal with real life examples and how things can be actually done by computers. modern curriculum should be encouraged a bit. exams are of moderate difficulty.

the internship oppurtunities are provided to students from 3rd year. the TNP cell is quite active helping each and every student out to get internships. the stipend ranges for about 10-12K a month. students are made to work on real life projects with main teams of companies to provide valuable experience.

placements in my course are quite good , with average package of about Rs. 9LPA the placement percentage is about 95% which is very good. top recruiters are ZS assosciates, TCS, COGNIZANT etc. some of the students either pursue MBA or an Mtech degree after graduation.

first year fees - rs. 175000 it includes all the inital fees of labs etc and the security deposit as well. second year fees - rs. 166000 it observes a decrease in the fees third and fourth year - the fees for these years is less than second year maintaining the affordability overall four years fees including all the student expenses: rs 700000 scholarships are available for girls and students belonging to socially backward classes.

the social life of our college is very very good, with student chapters and socities organising regular events, which makes the college a very fun and happening place. library is accessible to all the students with all kinds of books available to the students. the college is well equipped with modern technologies of projector and smart boards. the labs are well equipped with modern machines. our college ranks 1 in sprts all over ipu, with a dedicated sports department and all kinds of sports.

i had applied for 3 colleges in ipu, from which BVCOE was my topmost preference because of its good infrastructure, canteen, college life and specially one of the major factors PLACEMENTS. i had also filled up for some private colleges with about 100% scholarship in first year, but i got allotment in BVCOE, so i selected it because of its good track record. it also has a good nirf ranking. for the admission you have to give JEE mains and then fill there counselling, if you are alloted a college you can either freeze or float it.

the faculty to student ratio is 1:55, which is a bit high, but the way of explaination of teachers in class does not make the experience bad. the teachers tries to explain the concepts in the best possible manner, with help of videos etc. some of the best faculty from applied science dept is mr. lalit batra and mrs. rupali pandey because of their world class notes. there are 2 exams every semester one is mid term and the other is end term.

the college is open till 8 pm after that it has to be left by day scholars. the locality of the college is very happening with a market nearby, cafes are quite nearby with other spots. gym is available to all the students, library is accessible all the time and closes at 9pm. pacific mall is nearby, mystery rooms, punjabi bagh club road, nsp etc.
