Hiss Highness Maharajas University College Thiruvananthapuram

In my high school times i always liked to study geography. And that made me chose this department. Currently we have around two to 3 months between semesters. But i wosh there was atleast 4 months so that we can relax and concentrate more on studies.

I have e grants concession. Students who availed for e grants doesn't have to pay fees As government provide the necessary amount for them to pay fees. Thus at the time of admission i didn't had to pay fees. But every one should pay an amount to the parents teachers association. Other students in my batch who doesn't get e granys concession has to pay around 1800 to 2000 per year. Other than that government provide many other scholarship for eligible students

We celebrate freshers day, onam, christmas, holi department wise in college and it is always fun. We also have college arts. Students can show their talents there. As our college is naac accredited and ranked 24th in all India our facilities are also that leveled

I got admitted in the first allotment itself. And it was my first option too. It was my dream to study in this college. And i didnt got rejected from any college. We can apply to this course after 12th examination. There isnt an entrance exam to apply

There are 10 teachers and around 120 students in our department including UG and PG level. I love our tutors Dr. Jayalekshmi ma'am and Dr. Shahir Sha Sir. There are six semesters and i felt that fifth semester is the toughest one. As we are geography majors we study different branches of geography as per the curriculum

There is gym, canteen and library in college. There is nss corner in front of our college and it is one of the best places to hang out. And students at almost 7 pm. It is best during arts festival. Almost everyone leave after 12 am at that time
