Course Curriculum Overview
Some of the subjects provided by the institution are very practical and important. They provide good insights. But the rest of the subjects have outdated information which needs to be updated. There are enough classes in a week for coding.
Internships Opportunities
Major companies like Salesforce, Service Now, Interactive Brokers etc. come to college for drives. Mostly they keep a coding + aptitude round and then conduct HR rounds and then absorb the candidates for Internship/Job. Overall the placements are good.
Placement Experience
Students from the 6th semester are allowed to sit for company rounds but in this semester the rate is low. From the 7th semester, the drives for companies are frequent and the suitable students are sent to them. Mostly 60-70% of total students are placed in companies. Companies hire as many as 60 per drive to low as 1. It depends on the company's needs.
Fees and Financial Aid
For all the years the fee is 1,08,000 and for the first and second year we have to pay the NBA fee which is 3,000. Additionally, a few of 1000 will be taken as Caution Deposit during the admission which is refundable at the time of leaving. And the scholarship facility is also available (scholarship provided by government).
Campus Life
There are few events that occur throughout the year. One is dandiya event which is conducted during Janmashtami. Limited number of students can participate in it. However there are many clubs presents in the college. Each classroom has a projector in it for better learning. We are expected to bring our own laptop and internet. This is a good thing as a cse student atleast should have a laptop with him.
Admission
Personally I wanted to apply for Vardhaman college but there was a minimum requirement of 95% in intermediate. I scored 93% in 1st year of intermediate and in 2nd year(COVID) our first year score was added. Then I went for KMIT. KMIT accepts students majorly from EAMCET examinations. The cutoff is 4500-5000.
Faculty
There will be a total of 8 semesters throughout 4 years. Each semester will have 2 mid examinations. There will be 2 internal and 1 external examination for a lab subject in a semester. The faculty are experienced and are helpful to students.
