I liked the campus and the culture around very much and the facilities the college is providing.
Labs and the academic section is well maintained and very professional.

Dislikes

Teaching all subjects in the first year.
75% attendance criteria is kind of worst

Course Curriculum Overview

My course curriculum is very much relevant and the subjects taught are very useful and they also teach presentation and communication skills. There are 2 exams in a semester mid semester and end semesters

Class Size: 100Course Fees: INR 400000 per year

Placement Experience

Placement of our college is quite imressive and growing eventually. Beside Placement college also gives funding for good business ideas to the future entrepreneurs. Most of them get placed and most go for higher studies

Fees and Financial Aid

414000 fees per anum in that 400000 is the tution fees and 10000 is the caution fees and the 4000 is lab fees admission fees was 10000 and most of my batchmates have similar kind of fees structure. If you get above 8.5cgpa you will get 25% scholarship.

Campus Life

My campus life is extraordinary and the atmosphere it provides is very excellent. Sporting facilities are available to everybody and it has all kinds of sports you could think of and they also give professional training

Hostel Facilities

Hostel is very much impressive, air-conditioned rooms double sharing and private bathroom, z+ security. Attendance based on the biometric. Total of 11 floors each floor has about 30 rooms and each floor has a water filter and tv and a gaming room. Hostel also have night canteen

Hostel Fee: INR 175000 per year

Admission

As per my ranking in all the entrance exams, mit was the best college after viewing everything and the growing placement of the college amoung all the other colleges i was getting. To get into mit you should give its entrance met and score above average to get into manipal campus.

Faculty

All the faculties are very nice and approachable and per faculty load is also less to they can focus on their students. I quietly liked all the faculties. Almost all the students clear the exams. The course curriculum is quite relevant.

A Brief Review of My College (New Horizon College of Engineering)

Course Curriculum Overview:

Our college (NHCE) is affiliated to VTU but it's autonomous college. I like mechanical engineering and my father is also a mechanical engineer which inspired me to mechanical engineering. It is a bit outdated, expect more applications of the concepts. As I said we have exams every month, the frequency is good and the difficulty of exams I mid to easy range.

Experience at new horizon.

Placement Experience:

From 4th semester onwards students are eligible for the placement. Alots of companies like VISA,IBM,Accenture etc2 visited our college. The highest package recorded as of 2023 was from VISA offering 32.2 lakhs. 90 percent of the students get placed. After I get my degree I will work for awhile in the corporate world and starting up my own business on the side.

Placement Experience:

Many top MNC's come to the college. Recently the placement opportunities has increased when compared to our batchs.Companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, Infosys, SLK, Mphasis etc had given us the opportunity. The average package offer was 3.5lpa or 4lpa. The highest package known to me was 10lpa for a CS student not for us. The placements begins either at the end of 6th sem or in the beginning of 7th sem. Almost 60-70% of us were placed by the end of graduation but due to recession the onboarding was very late. Waited for more than a year to get onboarded.

The college placements are pretty good and provide an average of 6lpa for the students. There are lot of IT companies visit to oyr college but there are no opportunities for the courses other than IT related branches. Students become eligible after their 6th semester in the academics.

I chose this college because of its great reputation and ranking also due to its great alumini networks form Satya Nadella . It has great faculty which guides to be ready for the future we going to face , also great accommodation which I think is hardly provided by any other private college with such minimal fees. I got into bits Goa campus but bits has a rule where you are suppose to score +75% in 12 th boards and scored around 73% as result I didn't get bits Goa . The Indian MIT

1) The other college I applied to was VIT. I choose this over VIT since the intake was less in MIT giving an over all better student life . 2) I got rejected from DTU due to low marks in JEE Mains. My preparation was subpar and I could not make it. 3)The admission in MIT is very easy, they take their own entrance exam called MET which is far easier than the JEE exam.
