Course Curriculum Overview
I like civil engineering because it is highly demanded in northeast India The course is very relevant and makes students industry ready. The exams are conducted every month and the difficulty level is moderate
Internships Opportunities
Private organisations like Intrainz and other AICTE approved internships are made available for the students. Many of them are paid internships. Students get free internships on even semesters with stipend
Placement Experience
The students of 7th semester are eligible for placements . There are many companies that visit here.some of them are Vedanta,Assam petrochemicals etc. If i don't get placements on campus I'll be trying for State government exams
Loan/ Scholarship Provisions
The year wise fees for college is 36000 There are many reserved categories and as per my knowledge the fees are same. There are many scholarship opportunities available for students like ISHAN UDAY, and all and also private organisations.
Campus Life
The environment here is very vibrant. There are many clubs here that encircles every interest of students. Coding club Robotics club are some of the clubs run by students here. The campus life is average
Admission
Assam engineering college being the first engineering college of northeast India has a strong alumni network. The mode of exam to get admissions here is CEE. The cutoff rank for unreserved category is top 600 rank for core branches
Faculty
The faculty student relationship is very good here. They are very approachable and help ful. The department of civil engineering has got the best faculties and they are really experienced. I don't want to mention the departments that i dislike but it is a fact that not all branches are great. There are monthly that are being conducted.
