Course Curriculum Overview

4

Do good if not , do no harm . This is that line which actually influenced me . Rest being a doctor was my aim from high-school. There are aetcom classes which are focused on our attitude ethics and communication which are truly an essential part of the profession . The revised curriculum should be taken off because one can't focus on multiple systems at the same time

Internships Opportunities

4

There are ICMR projects which will be conducted And different camps from different departments regarding awareness among people and provide services We are not paid during our internship which was mentioned earlier before joining the course in this college. We signed the bonds for the same. We get to learn a lott in certain departments

Fees and Financial Aid

We pay additional college fee apart from the normal fee that is around 40 to 45k every year. I recieve no scholarships as I'm GM student Govt seat people pay around 170000 fee. There is some college trust scholarships which im not sure

Campus Life

5

We have student union day - usually within 2 minths of commencement of the course College day Ethnic day Teachers day Various games and sports The facilities are good that are provided . Good library facility Students do run social groups , clubs and are actively involved in events

Hostel Facilities

4

There are double sharing and single rooms Ac and non ac rooms We have great furniture, good bathrooms - in Nri hostel Meals are good , it's just that you are bored of having different curries with same taste . Non veg is not provided in the mess fee we give . If you want non veg you need to pay extra when ever you take it that is only whenever they keep

Admission

I applied to shri devi college of tumkur , i was assigned there in mock allotment but after looking at the fee structure and hostel environment and expenses, i decided to relocate SSIMS&RC to 1st preference since it was cost friendly with great infrastructure and opportunities and was near to my home place Admission process was the same as i got a seat through kea

Faculty

4

There's enough faculty to look upon students. Faculty student relationship is good but still it depends on different departments and profs. I like hussain sir , he was anatomy prof. He did great job in memorizing human anatomy which truly helped during my final exams . There will be pcts and internal exams

Curriculum is based on practical scenarios and very relevant since doctors need to understand real life scenarios inorder to treat patients. Curriculum includes OSCE and certified skills that prepare students to become good doctors. Kasturba Medical College - [KMC], Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery [MBBS]
Reviewed on Sep 27, 2024(Enrolled 2021)

Course Curriculum Overview:

The MBBS comprises 19 Subjects which is vast. Knowing so many things make you not only knowledgeable but also you have very important role in society. This course is filled with practical knowledge which are compulsory to get. This gives you skills which only a few people can have. So you already stand in society. The newer changes that has been made by NMC has reduced the time for studies. It was less exhausting before. Exams are properly placed and arranged . They are well divided into theories, practicals, internal examinations, certification for skills, etc. Last year has more papers now.

Course Curriculum Overview:

Doctor is a noble profession , the mere respect which we get by being doctor is one of the prime motive for me to pursuade this course Aside from physiology , anatomy and biochemistry we have a e t c o m which is a type of curriculum which is thought to us in which we learn to deal with different situations during our career and they also help us in terms of improving our communication which is very crucial In real life application . Personally for me the curriculum started on September and we had our first internals in January 2nd around March third round me and we had a final exams in August Honestly speaking MBBS is not an easy course , it is really hard, you need to understand the core, and then applied to even in theory and practical exams. concept
