Course Curriculum Overview

4

We all know the MBBS course is one of the toughest course there is . The teachers also can do so much . You have to study hard to get good marks and there will be a test or some assignment for you to do and prepare for . The course is relevant and they teach you very nicely and focus on clinical aspects as we are going to be doctors in the future .

Internships Opportunities

3.5

The college provides 1 year compulsory internship after you complete 4.5 years . Here you will be working as an intern and will mostly be assisting the doctors and taking history . The working hours will be a bit hectic but all will be worth it at the graduation which is celebrated very nicely here

Fees and Financial Aid

For people in Karnataka there is Government seat which is for 1.5 lakh/year and for the reserved candidates even less For people outside Karnataka, The fee is for private seat which is 11.5 lakh/year in 2023 (may increase this year )

Campus Life

3.5

The campus is really big around 130 acres . There is lot of focus on the extracurricular activities. We are cricket state champions and are football runner ups . There is badminton court , football ground , cricket ground , basketball ground , volleyball and throwball ground . Also there is a small gym provided . The main events that happen are the college day and Ganesh chaturthi which is a pure joy to watch all the celebrations all week long . Sports day also happen with a week packed with many sporting events . There is also inauguration of student union which is also celebrated very nicely. Overall the campus has all the necessary tools to keep you engaged in fun activities while you tackle the gruesome course like MBBS

Hostel Facilities

4

Hostel is really good ( compared to JJM ) . It is three sharing but can be made two sharing by paying extra . The price for first year is 46K which decreases year after year. It is provided with one study table with two drawers , one cupboard to keep all your books and one almirah to keep all your clothes and belonging. Hostel food is also of good quality ( From what I have heard of other colleges) . Still the fact it is hostel food so you won't like it . For people outside Karnataka, it will be a bit tough to adapt to new type of food ( especially north indians ) but there is plenty of food places in the city where you can eat good food

Admission

The admission to MBBS is through NEET-UG examination. Cut off for the government seat in 2023 was 520 marks and for private seat was around 570 . ( This varies year to year and in 2024 will highly increase)

Faculty

4.5

Faculties are really good . Anatomy department has top quality teachers which will make you understand everything. Dissection has a poor ratio as it has 40 students per table . Teachers are easily approachable and will teach you anytime and help you. Physiology faculty is really really supportive, will help you everystep of the journey and are easily approachable and very friendly (P.s they will be strict in the first few months but that is for your benefit only ) . All the staff is highly qualified

Interview Experience

4

I gave NEET exam and it asks class 11th and 12th PCB subjects . You need to prepare it with your boards and focus on high yield topics to boost your performance. It's a highly competitive exam and you need to prepare it wholeheartedly with focus on MCQs

Course Curriculum Overview:

curriculum is designed to be highly relevant and comprehensive for modern medical practice.Early Clinical Exposure is One of the strongest aspects of the curriculum is introducing students to patients in their very second year. The final year of the curriculum—the Compulsory Rotatory Residential Internship (CRRI) is effective it prepares students for the high-pressure environment of Indian healthcare, making them very capable of handling emergencies and outpatient departments (OPD ). Students feel that lectures are still too focused on passive PowerPoint presentations.Rigorous schedule, integrating "Life Skills" or "Stress Management" modules more formally into the foundation course would be helpful. The university exams (RGUHS) are generally fair but require a very high level of descriptive writing and practical precision.
