Course Curriculum Overview

4

As PICT became autonomous the curriculum has been improved very much. The best thing is that from first semester they have included c programming to the course And, the mechanics and chemistry are taught with exams and explanation to it's real life application. There are scope of improvement in the subjects like chemistry and mechanics. Sometimes they teach different off topics. The exams are not that difficult if you study teacher's notes you can easily score good marks.

Placement Experience

5

After 4th sem you can start applying for internships. More that 100 companies visit PICT during placement drives. Some of them are Barclays, Bank of New York, Deutsch Bank, phone pe, Accenture, etc.. The highest package offered in around 64lpa by a fintech company and average package is around 20 Lpa for computer engineering students. Above 90% students get placed in PICT. I am doing good in coding and will apply for internship after 2nd year

Campus Life

4

There any many fest happening in PICT. Pulzion which is event of ACM club happens in the first month of college usually in August - September FE Carnival, IEEE events and freshers party also happens before mid sem There are almost every book you need in Library of PICT The sports are also considered here. The achievements are also added in your credits. There are many clubs academics and nin academics run by students only which develops your network with seniors and also enhances your communication skills.

Admission

I had opted of other colleges like COEP and SPIT. I also got CSE in SPIT in cap round but i have choosen PICT because of academics and affordability. I didn't got COEP in cap round. I could have taken entc branch in spot round but till the I opted for PICT computer engineering and I chose CSE over entc. The admission process is simple in PICT. Once you get college in cap round just bring your documents in college which is mentioned in document you will find on website of college. And it's done everything will be guided in college.

Faculty

4

The faculty of PICT is very good and educated. There is one faculty for 78 students in a class for each subject. And the class is further divided into three parts of 26 students batch of labs Every faculty is good in terms of teaching but the maths professor is best amongst them And, the professor of CPPS is not good they just read slides. There are two semesters per year and one mid sem per semester.

Other Applied Colleges

College of Engineering - [COEP] | Bachelor of Technology [B.Tech] (Computer Science and Information Technology)

I scored 99.56 percentile which was not enough to get CSE in COEP.
