Dislikes
- Lack of enthusiastic students in my batch is a great issue
- Lack of a hostel inside the campus is bad
- Sports aren't promoted widely, mainly due to a lack of student interest
Course Curriculum Overview
It's a good curriculum, but I don't think it's relevant to what the industry needs today The curriculum provided a base knowledge for what we should see in real world applications or further academic pursuits An improvement could made by introducing more industry standard practical knowledge in the curriculum,. In my opinion the exams should be more difficult and should only allow knowledgeable students to complete the course and thereby decreasing the number of low standard engineers in the community
Placement Experience
Placements are good Good student get placed every year Ust, Infosys, bosh, tcs, Amazon , zf are some companies More than 50 percent students get placed My plan is to get a job after degree Average CTC is 4lpa highesr is 14-16lpa
Fees and Financial Aid
There are three channels of admission, merit management and NRI For merit seats the tution fee is 40000 per annum( there is tfw for outstanding students and other fee waivers and scholarships for meritorious students) For management seat , the tution fee is 65000 per annum For NRI seats the tution fee is 100000 per annum Additional expenses includes expenses like exam fees, university fees, arts n sport, tech fest etc which will account to another 10k(included in fees) and another 10k which is collected throughout the year during various events as fund raisers. SC , ST, OEC, OBC enjoy lumpsum grands and fee waivers according to the various community policies of government There is MCM for minority Christian community Various scholarships of the cooperative department of govt of Kerala(which runs the institution) is also available to the students.
Campus Life
Annual tech fest is advyka whic is national level event, and a great occasion for the students, it's a great event for showcasing the student's technical abilities and students from various parts of the country attend the fest Annual arts fest is Aarav which is a college exclusive event There is huge collection of books with ieee journals, science direct and other famous journals There are various student run groups like IEDC IIC IEEE TIKERHUB SAEINDIA CSI ,and varios department associations
Admission
I wasn't very focused during my jee preparations and hence couldn't make it to the college I wanted The current college, students are a major issue lack of people who are passionate to work is an issue Admission was based of KEAM entrance Should be 12rh pass Or diploma holder in case of lateral entry
Faculty
There is adequate and qualified faculty in my department. They're are really approachable. Dr.Arun PL, Prof.Navitha K Krishnan, Prof Aseena, Dr.Rajeesh R, Dr.Praseedalekshmi , are some of the exceptional faculties in my department, they are good mentors and are really approachable. It's quite difficult to find a faculty within my department whom I don't like There has been a few bad experiences with the faculties from applied sciences department who were quite bad to the students, There are applied sciences papers in first years of engineering, an example is Mr.Romy , who was adamant and forced a bookish way of learning, limiting the students ability to self learn and innovate. There are eight semesters and in each semester, 2 series exams and a final university exam. They're moderately difficult as engineering itself is a pretty difficult domain. The average pass percentage of my college is around 70 percent which itself is good score , as it stands at 14th position among more than 150 colleges. The course curriculum is not very relevant, but extra traning on industry standard skills are provided by the faculty on self interest and mentorship is also provided
Interview Experience
There were no gd, interview or written test for the admission The only criterion was a valid KEAM score and the seats were based on rank list Attend Keam Apply for seat allotment Seats will be allotted to various colleges based on the rank scored and the students will have to visit the college to take admission, there will be a face to face sessioneih the administrative officer
