Life at PICT

Through curriculum, we get basic theory knowledge, but for real world applications, we need to study a certain concept by our end. The academics will help you to score good cgpa in the end but, having a thorough knowledge will help you during internship and placement time.

There are different companies like Barclays, BNY Mellon, BMC software, Mastercard ,etc offering great stipend for internships. They offer high stipend for roles of software developer engineer, sometimes different roles. Overall, there are great opportunities if you are skilled enough.

The placement opportunities are great in this college. College takes enough efforts for students to be placed. It also provides internship opportunities for 3rd year students. There are many companies visiting the college and the average package is around 12 lpa.

As a SC category student, we need to pay around 2k to 3k fees and rest fees are paid by government through MahaDBT Scholarship. We need to apply for this scholarship every year to avail its benefits. College provides all the support for this scholarship.

The campus life is amazing, there are all enthusiastic people around us. There are so many technical and non-technical clubs involving so many students, the clubs are so engaging and provide variety of skills. There are different clubs like Pictoreal, IEEE, ACM, NSS, MUN, Debsoc, nakshatra, etc.

The hostel facilities are upto the mark. Separate buildings for girls and boys hostel,with all the required facilities. The mess food is good enough, however there are so many options to eat outside the college, it's the whole khaugali infront of college.

I kept PICT on 2nd position when I filled the form, It was clear that I will get admission here, as per my percentile. I couldn't make it to COEP because of very high percentile. However, for open category students, 99+ is must if you want computer stream. The admissions are taken through mhtcet and jee mains score.

The ratio of student to teachers is quite good, there are enough teachers for one subject. All the teachers are very good, nice to students. Some are strict as well, but they teach good. Exams are conducted as per sppu pattern , as this year college turned into Autonomous institution...so exam pattern changed for 1st year students only.
