- You need to do duty in this course and sometimes duty schedule may become hectic and stressful.
- Lack of holidays which is common in medical fields.
Course Curriculum Overview
Our course is mainly based on the Heart and that's what influenced mey decision to choose this course. And the course really prepares us well for real life applications. Frequency of exam is once a year.
Internships Opportunities
We get to do a one year internship in our own college with a stipend of approx ?10k. And during the course period sometimes you'll get to prepare presentations and you'll present it in the seminar room.
Fees and Financial Aid
This is a 4 years course.Total annual fees is ?450 only. So total fees for the whole course is ?1800 only. You can get a scholarship of ?60k per year through SVMCM if you fulfill its criteria. So it is a very affordable course for students. And IPGME&R offers the lowest fees for B.sc. Perfusion technology course, other govt. colleges gives a fee structure that is higher than this.
Campus Life
The annual fest is called Crux and it is typically held during October-November. We have a central library which has all kinds of books and you can issue books as per your need also we have a departmental library. Classrooms are equipped with white and green boards and projectors and speakers, every lecture theatre is ac-fied. During winters a picnic is held and also from time to time seminars are held in which you have to go to other hospitals for presentation.
Admission
I applied for Asutosh college and I got a seat there but I didn't take admission there because I was interested in medical. You need to appear in the JENPAS-UG examination and if you managed to clear the cut off then you can get admission in paramedical courses. To appear in JENPAS examination you need to complete higher secondary with biology subject. And upto 900 rank you can get a seat in perfusion technology at SSKMH.
Faculty
The teachers are highly educated and all of them are Dr. professors and assistant professors. I like all the faculties of my department all are very helpful and guiding. There is only a single term exam in a whole year. If you study for like a couple of hours a day you can pass the exam easily. The course curriculum is relevant to our job nature.
