- Infrastructure is one of the best. There are many libraries and other good buildings.
- There are night canteens and food courts and 10s of other shops inside the campus.
- Top tier faculties always ready to help us or clear our doubts.
Dislikes
- Mess food is decent but not so great. Can improve taste.
- Boys to girls ratio is not so good. It’s around 3:1 to 4:1
- Block timings restriction for 1st years at start is 7pm.
Course Curriculum Overview
I would rate course curriculum very highly. Ik that physics and chemistry is not majorly required for me as I am in IT branch and I am interested in Cs itself. But I think it's important to study in 1st year as it helps in transition. Others courses related to Cs and IT are very much revelant to present world scenario.
Internships Opportunities
Internships starts from 5th semester I guess. Students are eligible to apply for internships. On campus internships as well as off campus internships are available. International as well as domestic internships across companies and universities are also provided by the college.
Placement Experience
I think from 7th semester students will be eligible for campus placements and from 5th semester will be eligible for internships. I think the average package was around 18 lakhs . More than 90% of students who took part in placements got placed. It offers many courses compared to other colleges.
Fees and Financial Aid
The Tution fee for each semester is 62500 i.e., 1.25 lakhs per year. The total institute fee for 1 year would be around 1.5 lakhs excluding the hostel and mess fees. The hostel and mess fees would be around 34310 for Odd semesters and 33790 for even semesters. There are more than 10 scholarships offered for the students of NITK . Entire tuition fee is free for students who earn less than 1 lpa.
Campus Life
I love the campus to be honest. It's vast. You can just roam the campus. It's full of greenery. It hosts 2 fests every year out of which the Cultural fest Incident is one of the best in the country. There are more than 20 clubs whhich helps us to rediscover ourself.
Hostel Facilities
There are WiFi lan ports in every room for every student which provides 300 Gb Internet per month at very high speed. Registration process of hostel is very simple and easy. The food taste is decent. Non veg food is delicious and well cooked.
Admission
It is one of the top tier -1 college in India. It is one of the top 10 govt colleges for BTech in India. Its alumni network is very good. It's campus is huge and gives us opportunity to explore ourself. It gives good placements and internships. Faculty is very good and peers are also among the best in the country.
Faculty
The faculty is one of the best I feel personally. They are always ready to help you and solve your doubts or any concepts if you are not clear. The exams are usually moderate to difficult side. It is a plus point as it helps us to get strong hold on the concepts and apply it for our fullest capabilities.
