Likes

Hostels here are so good. The sanitation, the neatness and everything is good. In each room only 2 People or 1 person is alloted. There is nature inside hostels. We can enjoy a lot here
Freedom ... You have so much freedom such that you can literally fly as you wish. You can do whatever you wish here. No one will force you. Everything will be so smooth here.
Academics... The faculties are mostly aspirants from IIT Kharagpur, and many big universities in India. The faculties are so friendly. They will treat us like their own family. Assignments , exams and all will be somewhat tough, but it's ok for me

The course curriculum is so flexible, gives us more time to learn, explore different things, gives us a vision about how to approach the concern topic or subject. They are so many things to explore here and so many experiences that nurture us into fine diamonds.

My name is venkat sai . I'm from tirupati, Andhra Pradesh. I'm pursuing my bachelor's degree in school of planning and architecture Vijayawada. I started my first year of degree in 2024.i want to be a planner.... My course fee is 90k. It is very low in accordance to the current fee structure in deemed universities. And I got Air 120 in jee main paper -2.

Campus Life

Here , the environment is so good for any kind of people. Mostly this environment is best suited for introverts to become extroverts. There are many fests, cultural activities, field visits, sport competitions, and many more. There are clubs here which include photography, exploring nature, cycling, trekking, dance, singing, star gazing, etc.

Admission

I haven't applied for any other college. I came here through jee mains. Mainly I wanted to do something different other than engineering and I love drawing so much. I tried for architecture but i didn't secure much marks. So now with a planning background, I'll pursue bachelor's in spa Vijayawada and after this I'll go for civils. The admission process is simple . Just give the requested documents, fill the form that management provides and pay the fee. That's it

Faculty

Faculties are so good, they are well graduates from big universities, their way of teaching is excellent. Their way of approaching students is mesmerizing. And coming to fee structure, the fee for 1year is 90k. There are two semesters odd- June to dec and even-jan to may. Exam system is good. Phones are not allowed, invigilators are strict , the exams are moderated.. and it's good for me. Marking is for most of the exams it is for 20 marks..

Course Curriculum Overview:

The course curriculum is to understand the planning body and plan for future. Economics and statistics to teach the local trends in India as well as international. Other than studios are the major part of the curriculum. Studio subject like graphics studio, mapping studio, building environment studio, transportation studio and etc,, teaches how to plan accordingly with respect to every aspects. Per semester there are 2 exams. Mid semester exam and end semester exam. Mid semester exam timings depends on the faculty and subject while end semester exam timings is 2 hours for 50 marks.

from the 3 rd year the student become eligible for campus placements . Companies are called by the college everyyear . and from the 3nd year the internship is the must to do the work in the 2 nd and 3rd year , they are must do things . And with the academic studies we are offered to do other cources in online and get certificates .

SPA, Vijayawada Review

Remarks:

SPAV has many facilities and funds that have been given for the student learning and welfare must be spent in a wiser way. There is little power to the students for student affairs and culturals as there is no student counsel. There is a huge process of taking permissions from different authoritative members for even a small event which is very time consuming especially for a course like ours.

SPAV, the Emerging

Remarks:

College is good though,Good faculty, But not much foreign lectures or anything like that, the faculty members will be mostly architectects. So it is better to be an architecture student over here. Planning suveys are most likely to be held within th state so exposure such a way is very poor.

An awesome experience

Remarks:

The management is very nice. The college is academically very strong. The concepts get clear very easily. Other activities are held regularly. If you get a chance to take admission in SPAV I will strongly recommend you to take. Little disputes happens in every college which can be ignored at times. College held regularly sports and cultural activities which everyone can take part.

I applied for school of Planning And Architecture, Delhi, school of Planning And Architecture Vijaywada and school of Planning And Architecture, Bhopal. I didn't get Delhi because of my cutoff in josaa counselling. But at the same time school of Planning And Architecture, Vijaywada is nearer to my home. Fees has to be paid online. This college is ranked at 7 at nirf ranking and is a pretty good government college with lot of facilities and one can join this college only if they have 99+ percentile unless ur from the reserved category and the addmission is only through jossa and csab , the cutoff's are very High...Read More

Review of SPAV

The exams that you have to write to study the B.Arch course is NATA and JEE Paper 2 [B.Arch]. NATA exam is mainly for private colleges and not national level government colleges whereas JEE is for all the central government college. I've applied to various other colleges like SPA Delhi, SPA Bhopal, NIT Nagpur etc, but I chose SPA Vijayawada because of the comprehensive curriculum and the infrastructure and the proximity of the college as it is located in the heart of the city unlike other colleges. The hostels facilities are good and it is inside the campus and only 5 minutes from the studios. To get into SPA Vijayawada you must qualify the JEE B.Arch course and get a good rank. It is highly competetive to get into this college and you need a minimum of above 90% in JEE to get in....Read More
